A buddy of mine picked up their last set of 1st gen bed bars. Very well made! He had no difficulties (that I'm aware of) from order to receipt and I helped him install them which went smoothly as well.

They make great stuff! It's a real shame their customer service is lacking and tarnishing their reputation.

Drumming up more business than they have time or resources for, leaving more paying customers waiting. Good plan...

No one's arguing that, but I have a feeling in the middle of a huge show he won't be checking in on a forum.

I get your friend had a shitty experience with them. I think we all get that you're going to be salty about it until the end of time. You can stop bashing them now, we all get it.

No, and they don't need to stop what they're doing just for TW. I was referring to being at another trade show when paying customers are waiting for their orders.

I'll be done with it when Eric publicly and sincerely apologizes to @Specalt without making anymore excuses. Just come clean, fess up, and move on.

That's not uncommon for an owner to do, orders notwithstanding. He may be there looking for investor support or finding new methods to increase production. You can vilify him for his customer service and staff's poor knowledge of their schedule. But these trade shows aren't just about drumming up business, can you imagine trying to find a whole bunch of customers at a closed show like SEMA, most folks there aren't even interested in offroading let alone plate armor. Thats not really what it's about.

I did my time working at SEMA for years. I know what it's about. Just like CES, the Housewares show, Outdoor Retailer, and a few of the other big tradeshows. You don't find end users there, you find buyers, distributors, maybe investors, and you network. But sometimes you have to stay home and play catch-up if you can't keep up. You can't get bigger than your britches. Im not trying to villify anyone. I'm just here to call out the shitty treatment of a customer.

I totally disagree. Our society has gotten used to terrible customer service. Why do you think Walmart’s and Home Depots thrive? I can tell you, it’s not the customer service. Most people don’t care about it or even remember when it was the standard. I hate to hear this about relentless. I have always thought their products looked top notch, but will have to side with OP on this one. A little communication from the vendor could have solved this before it became an issue. The only way small shops have a chance to survive these days is Quality and Customer Service.
