LOVE IT! That is exactly why I came back. I grew up here and lived all over the world. However, These mountains have always called to me and I finally listened.

You either love it here and all its challenges or you leave like so many I know do. I am not a fan of the smoke every summer now but that does not keep me from enjoying this amazing place. :)

Funny you say that about the mountains...
When I moved back someone told me that Montanans shouldn't leave until we stop noticing the mountains everyday (basically saying until you stop appreciating the beauty around us). I still take note of the mountains everyday - oh, look! There's snow on them today! Or the trees over there are changing. Or crap! I can't see the mountains thru this stupid smoky haze... Good or bad I still notice what's out there....so I ain't leaving any time soon

    Winter is finally here.

Glad I have tomorrow off. Roads will suck in the morning.

    Construction...
Plus it was solid ice the whole way to Gateway this morning. Saw a Tundy vs Chevy by Baxter. 4 coworkers missed the turn into work and had to pull into the gas station then backtrack. Pretty much everyone was late today. One guy rolled his truck (he's OK)

My sig other got new tires a couple weeks ago and her TPMS malfunction light just came on, so she tried to call the Costco tire center mid day yesterday twice and they weren't even answering the phone.

    That stretch is always bad.

Same work truck, 2012 1500 Ram.

Its free, its full size, and gets me from A to B back to A then Q.

I have been getting closer to buying a toy or a replacement fullsize, but the company acutally just let go 2 people in my work group yesterday. Kind of gunshy again now. One of them was my counterpart here in Denver so my work load just doubled, again.

Well that's no good - for you or them. But a free ride is a free ride. Wish I could get a company vehicle to play bumper cars with for the winter commute...

Lol I keep telling myself with this commute I do one day someone will hit me in I25 and I can just get a new ride that I will pick out.

It defiantely is nice having a vehicle you don't have to worry about putting miles on or the maintenance or anything.

Speaking about tires. These grabbers don't do so well. Looks like I'll need a new pair of all terrains

You using the new General Grabber 3's?

My ST Maxx from Cooper Tire did great last winter. Curious to see how they do this year with 1/2 tread life left.

They are finally widening Jackrabbit the rest of the way to Belgrade. Why they didn't do this years ago... and why they waited until late fall to begin... who knows.

I avoid Jackrabbit like the plague.

Ex-wife told me that she passed a car on Love Lane this morning that had flipped and landed in a ditch. MHP was already there. She drove 25mph from Durston up Love Lane and all the way into Belgrade this morning.

I had the day off so I got to sleep in. Though I suspect tomorrow morning is going to be as bad - if not worse based on the forecast.

Feel free to text me tomorrow with weather updates. This first job in CO is gonna be at least 12 days, no way in hell I am paying boarding fees for 2 week so my dog can hate me the whole time. He can go run around mom and dads place.
