What about a Pace Edwards Jackrabbit canister tonneau??? Put one on my son's 2011 Ranger in August and one on my '16 Tacoma last month. If interested I can get pics on Thursday if it isn't raining.

I have the Solid fold 2.0, looks good and is a snap to remove if you have to haul something big. It leaks a bit in certain spots, but nothing major. I'm pretty sure most solid tonneau covers leak somewhat anyway.

Some ppl have complained of deformation close to where the front clamps are..

I'd stay away from the Solid Fold 2.0 till they figure out what is happening with their product.... My buddy is on his 3rd one from the top layer delaminating and forming a bubble...... He says if this 3rd one is no good, they will refund him....!!

OP: I have minimal leakage so far.....worst at the 2 front corners - partly due to the notches in the front of the top of the bed (no idea why they are there). Re did my filled in weather stripping yesterday and it seems to have helped. Another spot was the rail caps near the front of the bed, due to the texturing - factory weatherstripping on cover rails wasn't thick enough.....added about 3" long of thin stripping on each side. Again, has helped. Final area is along back edge.....factory rubber strip across tonneau is about 1/8" short on each side (worse on my son's Ranger cover). When you open the cover with water on it, it tends to dribble through these openings as the cover goes into the canister. Don't have a fix for this yet.

Having issues copying my photos from camera to computer. I will try to get my wife to help me tonight and I will post after.

I have the Undercover UltraFlex, $950 installed. Love the smooth matte finish. Keeps things much drier than expected.

The Lear is the closest to the OEM that I've found. But none have the quality mounting system of the OEM.

I was going to buy a OEM cover so I could use my tracks and clamp and also use my Toyota bed divider but Toyota has a stop sale on the OEM cover. Is there another hard trifold cover that can be used with the track system and the Toyota cargo divider?

That Jackrabbit looks good. I'd like to find a solid roll up similar to that.

The leer one will, as will a few others. Some will relocate the factory mounting rails, and others will require you to remove them, so be careful.

Arkie Joe: What do you mean by 'solid roll up'?? Pace Edwards has a less expensive option - doesn't have the interval stops (must be fully open or fully closed) and I think it can't be locked. Retrax and Gatortrax (look to be exactly the same to me except for the name) have canister covers also. None of these are 'soft covers' - either aluminum or other hard/synthetic material slats.

This cover is vinyl covered and I think the other PE is too. My son's previous Ranger had a Retrax that was just aluminum slats - no vinyl covering. Not sure if you can get vinyl covered Retrax or Gatortrax ones.

To use this bed cover do you have to remove oem bed rails?

I use to have one of those. It would freeze up all the time. It wouldn't be a good choice if you live in a cold climate.

I had a terrible experience with the Pace Edwards jackrabbit on my gen 3 taco. Leaked like a water fall. It was pointless to even have on the truck.

I made this video to sent to the manufacturer to recommend a fix and all they told me was that this cover was not designed to be water tight lol. I was holding a hose in the air straight up letting it come down on the cover for the video but it was just as bad with a normal rain.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XSW5vqky28

I put up a stink and they finally gave me a credit to apply to the other cover. I went with the Retrax Pro MX and it was much better. it was pretty much water tight on a level surface and only leaked a little if the truck was parked on a lean like on a street curve. But ended up selling to go with the topper.

The pace edwards jackrabbit i had on my Gen2 was rock solid for 3 years though. only leaked in the front at the tailgate gaps. It was so good i blindly purchased the same model for the gen 3.

I think the Retrax/Gatortrax are the best options for rolling Tonneau covers.

Pace Edwards Jackrabbit (could not fit stock tie downs with this cover.

I had the tonno pro hard fold. Has the appearance of one of the soft top tri folds with aluminum plates underneath. One of the reasons I chose it was that it didn't mess with the bed rails. Also, what was nice about it is the seams were covered since the vinyl covered the whole thing.

No you do not. That is where the mounts attach.
