With neighborhoods being much closer to us nowdays, we get more bicyclists and regular cars creeping onto our place. When we ask them if we can help them or what they're doing, they just say they're just exploring. Morons. My favorite one was when my wifes uncle was back on his place checking on his cows etc, some guy was walking by. He asked the guy what he was doing, and the guy said he was walking. He asked him if he knew it was private property and the guy said yeah, but there's no place to walk. So he tells him "well, hop in" .. drives him out to the main road the opposite direction from where the guy came from, stops the truck and tells him, "now you can walk home." I'm sure we'll eventually do a land swap with the developers and get a bigger place farther out, but who knows. Its my father in laws land, so it's up to him. But I think he's almost ready to do it. Between his and his brothers places, they're the reason alamo ranch hasn't spread out farther down culebra direction. Their land is valued by the foot now, so it's only a matter of time before it's either sold outright or title swapped for a larger ranch farther out.

That or set up a gun range in the general area, that should keep them from walking there...

We have a 100 yard, and 300 yard range on our place, and we hunt regularly during deer season. I've explained stuff like that before to them, but they just stare at you like your speaking another language. Finally you just have to tell ask the how they would feel to wake up one saturday morning and find strangers hanging out in the back yard. They have 0 concept of the whole thing. Fortunately it's died off. Seems like when the construction was in full swing it was worse. Now we just get the occasional car that come in a ways and turns around and leaves.
