ordered some Bassett steel wheels with i think 4" back space, all good till i found out lug centric not hub centric. Not many companies make lug cetric lugs for miatas

Get a hub centering ring that adapts the miata hub to the wheel hub we use to do that all the time! Usually they are made out of delrin or some other similar hard plastic. I've seen a few that were aluminum

I have never heard that before, HMMMM and of all the aftermarket lug centric wheels i've sold and put on with hub adapters. All it does would be center the wheel around the stud after it is already centered around the hub. Now that's got me thinking I may have to research that some more and see why they are saying that if there is an adverse affect.

BTW speedway motors is the shit. I love those guys.

Have you made a decision on the rambler. A friend of mine just so happen to have asked me about it today and sent me a link to the CL ad though I don't think he'll buy it.

Yeah there is a lot to fiddle with if you are wanting to do anything with them. I wonder if there is a readily available trans that will bolt up to the eng. and it looked like the rear diff was some sort of 9in style. Change the center section of the rear possibly and find a cheap trans somewhere. There is supposedly a good driveshaft shop in Raleigh.

I talked to a few of the car old timers around here that watch out for me. And they all say the same thing. Its a great little car be perfect for chilling, but they no me to good and i cant leave good enough alone and they know ill be wanting to change it. They say not worth it for the work involved

Yeah idk it all depends. I did a old Buick Invicta (I believe it was) put a junk yard Chevelle rear and links in and a th350 trans. If you could do something like that it really isn't that bad. The most trouble I had with that is the guy wanted an oldschool tail dragger without hacking the trans tunnel. Lets just say the trans on the shoving contest and the tunnel was no more. I did that car with all stock stuff we had to get a driveshaft made but found stock stuff to work. Just welded the pickup points for the chevelle rear suspension all the suspension geometry was there from the factory pretty much so no crazy playing with that and getting that all correct.
