compressor oil with dye

    I have an a/c leak and the guy fixing my 2011 told me to pick up the oil with dye. What kind do i need? Thanks guys.

    6inch lift sitting on bilstein coilovers. Lexus is300 studs in front to keep stock wheels, general grabber red letters, nfab front bumper.
    Wrong. Go to a real ac guy. You just need a can of dye itself. Get the system evac and recharged and shoot a little bit of dye in the low side port with the engine running. This will not hurt the system. Do not add more oil that is required in the system. To add oil you need to open the system anyway which means your going to have to evac then put it into a deep vacuum then recharge. Take it to a real mechanic.

    There are kits that let you inject dye into a charged system. The dye is added to the injector and the injector is connected to the low side with the ac off. This pressurizes the injector. Start the ac and the dye will be drawn into the system.
    I have one and it works well.

    search for "pag oil injector". it will allow you to add oil or dye to a charged system.
