Installed my new Pro grille and Tacoma Pros "Raptor Style" Light Kit yesterday. It took a little while to figure out how far apart and the best way mount the lights, but once I did that it was pretty simple. Ran out of of time to complete the wiring, but that part is pretty straight froward and I should have it done in next few days.

I'll post more pictures once I get it wired up.

Love the look of Raptor lights but still can't figure out what the main purpose is. All the ones I've seen are pretty dim.

Factory stuff so far. Mud flaps, tow package, weather mats, bed mat.
Don't they need covers for being on the highway in many if not most states? Look good.

I run them in conjunction with my amber DRLS. Extra daytime visibility can't hurt, especially with all the retard drivers out there. Any yes, most raptor lights are pretty dim for daytime use.. just gotta find the right ones:)

There is no purpose or function.

Because the Raptor its so wide, it's required by regulations to have additional amber markers. Ford designers put them in the grille because they thought it looked cool, and they were right.

When you placed your order for the lights, how long did you have to wait until you received them?

actually quite the opposite, they are actually called clearance lights/markers and are legally required on the raptor because its over 6' wide. No different than the lights on top of a cab of a dually. Ford just decided to put them in the grill.

Finally wired them up, stoked on how they came out. Ended up having to splice into the DRL wire connected to the relay.

I assume this was because of personal preference. Otherwise it's just plug n' play?
