Muffler Shop in Colo Spgs has done good work on mine. It's currently a 1 man shop, so if you call you'll have to leave a message. He'll call you back the same day.

Never heard of it. For the past 5 years or so I've just got a basic PC hooked up to my TV with an HDMI cable. I have a wireless keyboard/mousepad that I use. Kind of a jury-rigged 'smart TV'. I watch youtube on it all the time. Is that what you mean?

Thanks. I actually visited him the other day. I was pretty impressed. I was hoping he could do stainless steel as that is what the crossover is made of but he can only do aluminized steel, which may be ok. Did he do your crossover?

nah, I have regular youtube and Netflix through the DVD player.
Youtube TV is a new streaming service that does live local networks.
Comcast just went over $42.00 a month, you tube is at $35.00 and I can take it anywhere.

I got it to work, watching Phineas and Ferb. :D

But, KWGN doesn't seem to be offered, which is my main TV channel...

Google is trying to go after cable and sat competition with a streaming and dvr service. I haven't dug into the details, but it appears they will off regular channels and such just like cable and sat. https://tv.youtube.com/welcome/

I've been unplugged for years now using over air HD, Netflix, and Amazon.

I have the over the air HD antenna too, alongside the regular cable when I really want it to work, unfortunately I'm just outside the 70 mile range of the antenna. It works as long as the wind don't blow, or it rains or snows, or gets cloudy, flocks of birds mess with it too. But otherwise it fairly clear.

We were "early adopters" for DirecTV Now. I think the package we have now costs $60, but we pay $35 for 120 channels or something like that. It includes local channels, so ABC/CBS/NBC/Fox are all there. I think their basic package of 60 channels is now $35, but has the local channels as well.

He did some resonator chambers & a new tailpipe to help tone down my 'angry chewbacca' exhaust noise after my cats all burned out.

Hmmm... that might be cool. The only thing I watch local is football. I have an old, brick house with THICC walls. So when I want to catch the game I have to roll out my digital antenna and run it through the house to the window. With the Broncos playing the way they have, it has not been worth the hassle.

Lol That sucks. Yeah being that far is pretty close to the non-boosted antenna technical limits, plus like you said all the shit in between. Had some issues like that when I was in CA. We lived about the same 70 mile distance from Los Angeles where everyone broadcasts from. Too many building and changes in terrain between us and LA. I only got about half the channels I do now, but they were clear and I wasn't watching much TV at the time so it wasn't a huge deal.

the goal, is free TV, like it used to be when I was a kid. If that cannot be achieved, then we need cheaper and more flexibility with use. Like the ability to watch network TV in a camper for instance, without some damn antenna hanging off the roof.
If I was 20 miles closer to Lookout Mtn, prolly would be a non issue.

btw, this is working pretty good through the Mobley device, I was concerned my little Mobley device wouldn't be fast enough, but so far so good.

Tried out the free trial of YouTube TV for some MNF. Worked really well. Wish I had a reason to spend $35/month on it but I really only watch football and the occasional Formula 1 race on tv.

I wish the NFL wasn’t so closely tied to tv providers and tv networks. I feel like they could make a lot of money if they charged people like $20-30/month to be able to stream any game during the week.

I never had cable in my life until they made the switch from analog to digital several years ago.
Had the biggest antenna on the roof I could get my hands on and never had an issue.
Once digital went into effect, the weather would cause the channel to scramble and that sucked worse than the occasional "snow or static".
