Oh I know... I've done them twice now. Once was on the side of the highway on the way home from Moab a couple years ago. I'll let you know when I get around to ordering the parts to get the job done, we can make a mini mod day out of it.

I'm waiting on a quote to have a set of 1boredclerk's bolt on slider plates made up for the Access Cab or DCSB. Anyone else interested? I think the first set will hit the minimum for the laser cutter setup so more sets would likely bring the cost down. This is only the plates and would help you if you're already planning on making your own sliders or found a sweet deal on weld-on sliders but don't want to weld to your frame. Sorry, I'm not available for welding, I've barely got time to get my own stuff done.

Info on the plates can be found here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/diy-bolt-on-frame-plates-for-sliders.302192/

Edited to add: Just got the quote back. If I can get five people interested then I can get the price down to $100 per truck. Turnaround is 5 to 8 business days from placing the order.

I know one of you locals are looking for some spidertrax wheel spacers. $125 for the set of four.

It took slightly (a lot) longer than I would have liked. But, now I'm back with two more cylinders, two more doors, & four more lugs... :bananadance:

Yeah, it's coming down on the island, too. Not cold enough to stick, though...yet.

I've been busy busy. Got promoted at work. My pay didn't go up nearly as much as my responsibilities. I'm running point on some of the larger jobs and doing more to take the burden off of my boss. Here's a video of some maintenance we did last time I was out. Just redoing the rings on one of the the pistons:

Home has been busier than work with projects. I redid my deck and then found out that I'd been sold the wrong hidden fasteners, so I got to pull all the boards back up to install the right ones, and of course the right ones weren't the same width as the old ones, which led to more fun. I still have a massive pile of parts for the DCSB to install. I've been whittling it down little by little but it's still a big pile of stuff. I did get my canopy, but I've had a couple of issues that I'm currently working with the dealer to resolve. I'll wait til that's squared away before writing any more about it, but the truck looks good with it:

Kids are getting bigger, I'm getting older, my crap still stinks :) How's life on the little boats?

Sounds like a lot going on! Still making the trips to Oahu? I miss working on big ships, that video was so bad ass thanks for sharing! What kind of engines are those? Canopy looks good on the truck too!

Let me know If you need a hand with some installs, I'll bring some beers! Life on the little boat I pretty good, we tore apart one of our engine's exhaust system looking for a failed o-ring which was causing coolant pressure to drop and burn off. Found it in the turbo carrier housing. My hand was silver from tons of anti seize, it looked like I fisted robot cop.
