    Fresh gas.
Nokian Hakkapelita LT2 are really great all seasons. I believe they are rated with the snowflake too.
I ran them year round in Canada on my work F250 to and from a coal mine that sees less than optimal snow plow activity. They were great, on ice and in snow.
I was incredibly impressed with them and they wore very well too, I think I put 40,000km on a set and they were less than half worn out.

I'll be getting Cooper Discoverer AT3's for my truck though, and will just run those year round. I've had the BFG AT KO and was unimpressed with their Ice traction.

Exactly. I drive 30K miles a year so I need new tires every year and a half or so. In the past seven years I have run one set of KO2's, one set of Nitto G2's and will be installing the Cooper AT3's on my Tacoma in a few weeks. This will be my fourth set. I live in the Appalachian mountains 15 minutes from a ski resort so we get a lot of snow. The Coopers, in my opinion, are much better in snow, ice and wet traction than any other tire except Michelin LTX MS. The problem with the Michelin is off road. Their tread blocks won't clear in mud and dirt, so now I run Cooper. Very happy with them. Proper tires for your specific application should not be a beauty contest. Buy what is best for you. Looks don't get you out of the median on the interstate.

Just a note to say for CDN's wanting Duratracs, they come on sale about every third week at CDN tire for 25% off. Also I see 1010 tire shows an all weather version of the Toyo M55 in a 255/85R16 that I don't see anywhere else.

I just pulled the trigger on Duratracs today from CDN tire on sale but then read a bunch of reviews saying how poor the wet weather performance is and this scares me as it rains alot in Vancouver and I am on the highway daily

Not for nothing but the wettest year in SoCal is probably less rain than a dry year in B.C.

But you are still right I think, guy I work with has duratracs and said they’ve been great, rain, snow whatever. He’s got around 50k on them and they still have decent tread left.

Canadian Tire often has Cooper A/TWs on sale, they are a great all weather tire. I went with Hankook ATMs instead, $180 each at the time in a P265/75R16. They do well in the cool wet weather here in Victoria.

You know what to do with white lettering, right? Are they really that way on both sides? You can also remove it.

Just got the WOW GUIDE (Xmas flyer) from Canadian Tire. They rate K02's as the best Ice tire, while Cooper gets best snow rating (for an All Terrain tire). Both have the winter tire logo, as do the Duratracs!

??! I love KO2’s, I just bought a whole set plus a spare to replace my new Wranglers too, but the best ice tire?? No way, my 2002 TRD did a 180 just parked, yup parked, on a slightly sloped road. I think the siping on the lugs are too far apart- which makes for good rock and dry condition tires, and they do have good wet road handling with deep treads, but the lugs are way too stiff with few sipes for ice and they do get filled with snow. The OP mentioned all weather- which I would recommend KO’s as, but I believe their weak point really is ice driving. The only way to make them better for it is to sipe them even more.

If it’s too late to return them, look up “tire siping”.

Sorry, no, but OP needs to read your review and experience with them as he said he “read a bunch of reviews saying how poor the wet weather performance is’. If he can’t return them and doesn’t have the same experience with them as yours, then additional siping may help, but you are right- the Wrangler Duratracs do appear to have ample siping across all the lugs and have open treads which work well with snow.

OP, you live in Winnipeg. I would recommend a dedicated winter tire. Duratracs, KO2s won't be nearly as good as a set of dedicated snow tires. The snowflake rating doesn't tell the whole story with these tires.

Someone mentioned the Michelin LTX AT2. I had those on my Tundra. They were mediocre the first winter. I swapped them out for studded winters and it was a big difference. If you don't want to deal with 2 sets and your only choice is 1 tire, you should look for a set of All Weather tires like you mentioned. There won't be too many choices here but a few reputable manufacturers make them.

Duratrac is rated as an all-weather tire, so are KO2's... the Cooper A/TW is all weather with significantly more siping (but rated lower than KO2 and Dura) and i am fighting myself which one to get mounted and balanced for Vancouver. I have Duratracs and A/TW on hold for me.

I had Toyo Open country's on my Ridgeline about 3 years ago. Slid into a sign post. Bought dedicated winters & rims the very next day.

My buddy swears by his K02's in the winter.
