@Cativelense Is this what you were talking about with the misalignment? Did you ever reach out to BPF? It looks like if the center one could line up, the rest might not be too far off, but the grille is preventing that from happening.

 

Yeah... that was it. I never ended up reaching out to them because I took it off when I got my BAMF behind the grill mount. But that's exactly it right there.

 

I don't think I'll be able to stop them from getting into the garage, but I don't think they can get into the basement or main house. I looked for spots and found nothing at all. The garage has access to the attic above my office, which was an addition (it's basically a very large breezeway). I looked at it in detail for the first time and it's basically a wire mesh door about the size a person could crawl through way up above. I think there are gaps they are using there so I'm going to try to seal that off better. And it's platform construction so the walls aren't open anywhere I see.

The attic and the garage aren't heated, but are still warmer than the outside so they must be attractive options.

 

I just shot them a message through email. Made sure to tell them I'm not the original owner but asked if they had any tips or advice for me. We'll see where it goes from here.

My bro in law is up for the weekend because his crazy ass is running in the NYC marathon on Sunday. Fucking crazy ass porkchop... but whatever works for him.

The wife and I are thinking about driving down to WV, to his house, for Thanksgiving. The question is, do I take the Taco, or do I take her car?!

LOL. Yeah, that's the one. We got it fixed for a hell of a lot less, since Firestone said it really only needed one thing, and so far so good.

 

Personally I'd take the truck, but I don't mind how a truck rides, and I don't have to lug kids around. Between you, her, and the Nunolings plus gear for the weekend/holiday, it might be crowded in your truck, unless you've got a waterproof tote you can throw in the bed for the non-emotional baggage.

 

If this truck rusts, the world is flat.
