Does anyone else work somewhere that forces them to get the flu shot, or is that just a government job thing?

 

They "offer" it to us for free. But all the Hep vaccines are mandatory.

 

My gf has to get one because she’s in healthcare. I think they are BS so I don’t get one because I’m not required.

 

I wouldn't work somewhere that did. That being said, this will be the first time I've ever gotten one because baby.

 

That's what people don't seem to understand is the flu shot isn't necessarily for them. It's for those you come in contact with that have weakened immune systems (such as the elderly) where the flu can have much more serious effects. Good call on getting one this year.

 

I never used to get them. But do now for the same reason.

 

Not on the level of the flu vaccine but this made me chuckle

After my bone marrow transplant (which completely wipes out old marrow and vaccine antibodies) I couldn't get my vaccines for four years so I hate when people say not vaccinating their kids doesn't hurt anyone..... I like to politely say, shut the fuck up <3! just recently finished my vaccinations so no more worrying about being killed by other people's ignorance.

 

I figured that was the case! Didn't want to wrongly mention that though. I'm glad to hear you're on the up and up.

 

Thanks brother! And yeah it's nice having security with my health, the biggest threat was a form of pneumonia that can kill a transplant survivor in 24 hours. Kinda hard to have a normal life with that looming over you.

 

Geez, that's rough. I couldn't even imagine. Are you past that point now that you're vaccinated?

 

Yessir I also have an autoimmune disease from my treatment that we're finally getting under control so is looking pretty good for me, last year my doctors told my parents that they thought I was going to die if I didn't get better soon, funny how they didn't mention that to me at the time...

 

Dang!

 

So took the day off to do some things, installed the new headlights and HID kit....now my side marker lights dont work....ugh


Are they tied into the wiring of the HIDs even tho they are on their own socket and wiring etc??
