Orange County CAF's: up to no good

Headed to Indio for some camping and hopefully some dirt action ... no recovery gear so going to try and play it safe

 

It’s a family thing. They go every year so ima join them for the first time since most of them get on my nerves . No idea where they are going to ping it and send it to me

Quick question since everyone here is law abiding.. what are the rules for guns and ammo inside of a truck

 

Only cargo area I have is the bed & I can’t find the keys to the locks ... i was thinking guns behind the back seats and ammo on the floor board ... you guys think that will fly .. or should I pick up some locks real quick

Do you keep the 9 in a case? Pretty sure you're still not allowed to have it just locked in the glove box. But I could be wrong. the rules are slightly different with trucks than cars since we don't have a trunk (unless you have a shell).

 

Should I keep the ammo in the bed since I have a cover? I put locks on everything

 

When I go I put my pistol in my rifle case and lock it. Keep the ammo and the case in the backseat. I could be wrong (probably am) but I think rifles can remain unlocked. But with the same compartment of the truck it's iffy. If you can just keep the ammo in the bed. That way your firearms and ammo is separate regardless and you'll be fine.

Any details on the In N Out meets anyone? I work until 1030pm on Thursday nights so that's too late for me to get all the way down there

 

It's not worth the drive from Ventura I'll tell ya that.

 

In fairness our brewery night isn't worth the drive from Ventura either.

 

If I ever do make it out I can just head over to The Ranch in Anaheim afterwards until 2am anyway so it would be a double trip

 

I locked them and put them behind the back seats. Also put a lock on the AR and the ammo is in containers on the floor boards. Might move it to the bed now that I unloaded a few things and can close my cover
