My original Vacaville quote was 36089+fees+TTL.
Then i had Elk Grove Toyota quote me $35795+TTL, used that to counter Vacaville.
Vacaville countered $100 lower from my Elk Grove Toyota quote. I used Vacavilles $100 less, to counter EG, ended up at $35395+TTL. Went with EG Toyota because no one was willing to go that low for a Black TRD SPORT DCSB AT. They would have to trade for it. Same truck as yours. Msrp 40,017.

Well done! Sounds like you got a great deal, and I'm sure they were happy to sell the truck. Figured this was a good time to pull the trigger, end of year, before the '18's come out. I picked up a Metallica Gray, DCSB OffRoad, AT with Prem/Tech w/JBL, Tow, etc. - that is most def no longer stock. Pics to come soon. Might have some brand new OEM parts to sell shortly. ;)

Right on! I might have to get off TW for a while to prevent from going broke. My cars are never stock for long.
Yeah i thought the same. Now was the time to buy. The dealers that had the truck wouldnt really budge on the truck, glad Elk Grove Toyota was willing to go that low and still get the truck in less than 24hrs.

I bought a 2017 DCSB TRD Off Road 4x4 in Blazing Blue Pearl this past Saturday. Has premium and tech with JBL, tow package, all weather mats, and Toyoguard (didn't really care about that). MSRP was $40,823 and selling price was $36,746 before tax. Also got a $1,000 rebate through Southeast Toyota for trading a Tacoma on another Tacoma. So after the rebate, it was $35,746. The dealer also removed their document and processing fee without much argument. No other dealer was able to get anywhere near that, so I jumped on it.

Did you trade in your 2016 Tacoma? Or sell it yourself? That would be an important piece of info on the deal you got. That's great you get a $1k rebate, though. Didn't know that was an active incentive.

The rebate is through Southeast Toyota, but I think it ends today. They also had special financing at 0% for 48 months, 0.9% for 60 months, and 1.9% for 72 months.

I did trade my truck. I could have gotten more selling private, obviously, but with the tax credit from the trade it wouldn't have made a huge difference. They gave me $27,000 for my truck. Most other dealers offered $25,000 or so. KBB on it was between $25,000 and $27,500 for "Excellent" condition. OTD was $33,000 and I'm happy with that. I could have pushed more on the trade, but I don't think they would have went much higher. They had a used 2017 on the lot that was identical to mine with about 6,000 miles and it was advertised for $30,000. Overall it was a good buying experience and I got exactly what I wanted.

Got another hypothetical here for you guys, in TN so 9.25% tax
starting looking around for a 17 TRD offroad, DCLB with no extra packages on there other than the basic tow package.
The toyota website is showing $36,420 as MSRP but the master price sheet on the sticky thread is showing $35,315 if I am reading that right.
What do you think the lowest is i could possibly get them to bite on before tax?

12% is about the best you will do, maybe end of year will help 1%-2% more.

    that puts you at $32,049.00.

now with that if you are not having dealers competing with each other and you do not have price quotes in writing from other dealers they will not go that low. maybe 5% if you're trying to work with one dealer.

I bought a 2017 SR5 V6 Access cab last month in SC. For reference, my sticker including destination charge was 31,097 (options were tow pkg, mats and clear coat). I ended up paying 26,608 plus taxes and fees for 27,500 OTD ( our sales tax is capped in SC at $500). My goal was 85% MSRP before taxes and fees.

Is the delay with the 2018s causing prices to stay steady for 2017s? I’m waiting on that 15-20% off sticker price time to grab a TRD OR DCLB. I’m in Houston, TX where I can imagine car sales are not hurting at all due to all the flooded vehicles from the hurricane needing to be replaced. Don’t mind waiting on an 18 to see if I like the cement color but getting a dirt cheap 17 would be even better for my wallet!

I am still stuck at 9.5% off MSRP for a 7570 (SR5 DCLB 4x4). The thing is the dealers are still getting 2017's around here. The one dealer I am working with just got one in this morning. Makes it tough to negotiate when the 2018's havent landed and they are still getting 2017's. Of course this is the year I want/need to buy a new Tacoma ha

I'm looking at $33,910 plus tax and title for a 2017 TRD OR DCSB 4x4. Includes towing, all weather mats (are these worth it? or aftermarket them?), paint protection (worth it?), and 3 yrs maintenance. No premium and tech.

    Thoughts?

It’s not bad but I’m sure you can do better, shop around and let the dealerships fight for your business. I paid 35k OTD for a dcsb OR with premium tech w/o jbl, tow, paint protection, 2 in 1 led fog upgrade, all weathers mats, and few other upgrades.

OTD means nothing. What was price before ttl?
