The UltraGauge Blue that I ordered came in the mail today but I can't get it to stay connected to the vehicle computer when it is inserted into the OBDII port. It lights up briefly when I hold it in the port but not enough to detect anything or to pair with my iPhone.

Any fix to get it to connect in the port? It clicks in place when I put it into the port but it won't stay in correctly.

Does it connect via bluetooth or wifi? I remember when I got mine I thought I had ordered a Bluetooth one but it was a wifi device....had to turn on WiFi instead and have my phone connect to the device's signal.

It is the UltraGauge Blue and connects via Bluetooth.

When I put it into the port, the lights on the UltraGauge light up briefly when holding it firm. But as soon as I let go, it disconnects and I can't make a connection to the computer or pair it with my iPhone.

Sounds like one or more pins got pushed further into the module.

What would be the fix if that is true?

Not too sure, but maybe grab needle nose pliers and gently try to pull on the pins a little?

    The pins are perfect.

I can get it to connect very briefly by pressing on one side of the UltraGauge.

Sounds like it's either a problem with the pins on OBDII tool or a problem with the port on your truck....hopefully it's the latter (most likely). See if you can borrow someone else's to confirm? Or try sending it back for a new one.
