lol... i'm not IN the business (i could never sell cars) - i hang out at my friends dealerships (nissan being one of them). since he's the owner, i know what really goes on... you wouldn't believe some of the stories i hear.

yes - it's hard to make them exactly equal in features - but when you add the top of the line package for both, they're within $1K, cost and msrp.

another tip - dealer cost is the key. you always negotiate up from their cost, never down from the sticker. and never with a salesperson - only with the fleet manager, etc. (they generally won't negotiate - they usually have it a few hundred over and take it or leave it... nice and simple).

Don't do it..IMO tacos do look a lot better and are more customizable. I've raced a frontier and won so i dont care if they have more power and torque. :)

No not on the track but on an abandoned nearby strip of road. Two of my friends own frontiers and I've happily beat both of them(V6 4 doors).

The Taco outsells the Frontier almost 3:1 and the taco has a much better resale. Translation: Everyone thinks the Frontier is a c**t.

frontier is a good truck as well...but it is heavier so the extra power is needed...the tacoma is still faster...in my case i got the tacoma alot cheaper...the frontier isn't available in reg cab so the one i wanted was like 27k or something and i got my tacoma for 20k

I've owned both and I am much happier with the Tacoma. Don't get me wrong, the Frontier is not a bad vehicle, but I have to give the edge to the Tacoma.
