ya hiking through this snow is exhausting lol I hiked up the mountain into public land today to get a game camera SD card only to find out that I didn't bring the padlock key so couldn't get the card.

Not into shooting the yard doe's, yet. They just stand there and look at me. They been here all day eating the leaves that just fell off the tree by the deck. Not that I've never shot a doe before, they eat good. This other guy might show up for me. Not a huge trophy but good enough for me. Disregard the date and time. Those Leupold camera's fucking suck.

Great pic man. That takes me waaaay back when I was 10 or 12 yrs old and My grandparents and I would sit by the window in the house and watch the deer in the yard.

deer get brave as the winter goes on, they come up to the bird feeder area to get the seed the birds kick out. our bird feeder is 20ft from the house so its cool to see the deer that close and not shoot them. I never see the big bucks that close though, a button buck or a spike come through but nothing bigger. Too much human and dog scent around.

Also my wife shot a doe today it weighed 120lbs so a nice doe for around here. she was having trouble holding up the crossbow because of previous shoulder injuries and surgeries so she had a few misses. So I bought her a Caldwell dead shot field pod. Its rock steady and she said it helped her immensely.

Don't take this the wrong way, but we'd rather see pictures of her and her deer than the tripod. :)
It's cool that you hunt with your wife (or she hunts with you) and were able to help her have success with her shoulder problems. I wish my wife liked hunting, but my daughter loves it and we spend quite a bit of time together hunting.
    Congrats to both of you.

Man, the deer around here are smart. We live within the city limit. They'll traipse right through our yard on a daily basis- even during hunting season. They'll stand and let me get about 30 feet before they trot off. BUT, if I go out to the farm during hunting season, they're invisible! I'll see signs they're out there, but never will I see a deer during hunting season. It's like they know where the safe spaces are for them.

Girlfriend filled her first tag yesterday! Right during fading light of the last day of season. I got a goofy one a couple weeks ago.

I'll try to get a pic, she has them on her phone. The crazy thing was it split the bottom of the heart and the deer still ran about 200yds down hill. It was spraying blood pretty good but not massive like you would think. Thankfully there was some snow on the ground to help track. Otherwise it would have taken a lot longer to find her.

I used to hunt with a guy that has a monster hybrid mounted, he said its always a white tail buck and a mule does because mule bucks cant catch does (he was a guy who always had an answer tho so that may not be the case) it has kind of a light zebra patterned coat which was cool. He said they usually got killed you because their internally biology fought itself when they got startled and they didnt know wether to run off or hop off. He also said they didnt have an offical score keeping since they were hybrids for some reason.
