You're going to the fuses in the cab near your left knee, right?

They're much easier to access, and there should be one labeled ACC that'll be perfect for it.

I noticed something neat for the third gen fuse cover, it has extra fuses and a removal tool

Just go from battery to fuse to switch. Then from switch tie red and orange together and your done.

No. Then he needs to buy a switch, and has to hit the switch anytime he wants to use the PA. This is out of sight and automatic, and just as easy.

I understand that I just dont want the amp on all the time because 98% of the time I wont be using the PA so I'm going to put it on a toggle switch.

Whys it matter if the amp is on all the time? Not like it's drawing any power.

Ours at work are wired that way so truck goes on the amp and radio go on and even with it not on PA the radio for some reason bleeds through the PS speaker. So i'm going to put mine on a switch. I'm running a different radio than the ones at work but still would like it switched.

I’m not sure my add a circuit is going to work in that fuse panel, I just got the trim pieces off and

Do you guys not have a little panel on the 3rd gens? Ours is a little pop out drawer thing, and if you pull it all the way out fuses are behind it.

Yeah, I'm well aware of the classic 102" and have one, just not mounted yet because I want to make my own mounting bracket for it.

The "55", I'm not too familiar with, but have seen them around. Just never bothered researching them or interested until now.

Thanks for letting me know!!!:fistbump::bowdown:

Well the pa is working and that sumbitch is LOUD!!! Only problem is on the add a circuit for the amp I tapped into a constant power source and I need to find a switched power source. Don’t have time tonight but will do that tomorrow, I had tapped into the fuse for ig2... figured that would be switched. Guess not, if you guys have any advice as to what fuse I should tap into please speak up, I’m tapped into the fuses in the engine not by the ecu. Suggest 20a fuse options

I've seen more than a few issues with the FireRings. When I do my install (also on a ditch bracket), I'm going to use lugs and a FireStik stud made for spades. I'm hoping that will keep the low profile and not give me any issues.

So I got myself a new radio Uniden CMX760, wired it straight to the battery, tapped a relay into power socket in the armrest cubby for switched power. It works! I also bought a Tram trunk lip mounted NMO bracket ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NP7EYYS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) and Browning NMO antenna ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013PXD0J6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ), and I can't tune that summbitch!!!!
Of course as usual, by the time I was done with the install it was middle of the night (we have 3 yo twins, so, no such thing as free time), so I can't test stuff tonight. I ran #12 wire with spade terminal wedged under one of the mounting screw on the bracket, other side connected to a bare bolt in the engine compartment (passenger side) for added ground. Not sure if it worked...
My SWR is waaay over 3! Pulling whip up or down does pretty much nothing. Removing antenna makes things worse, so I guess there is hope. Lol. As luck would have it, I left my multi meter at home, so I couldn't check if bracket is grounded.... I'll try to find some time tomorrow night to make things right, lol.
What resistance should I expect on the antenna wire?

The fuse panel doesn't have an access cover like that... just look up behind hood release handle, the panel is right there, mounted "upside down" below the dash
