Do I go fishing in the AM or stay home and figure out why my truck is clunking, squeaking, and now has a bassy rubbing sounds at 40 mph when it’s cold?

 

Work on truck. Moar importanter than fish.

Definitely. Will be nice to not rumble over and past railroad tracks and no longer be able to cycle my suspension by hand....
Oh I plan on it at least one night before. I'm sure most of it has never come off before, so it ought to be super fun to get it off.

I believe they're considered 8" shocks. Part # 25001-153. Compressed length of 13.11" and extended of 19.5 left and 20.5" right. The length is the difference, yes? So about 8" on the right side.
U-bolts, brake lines, BPV bracket, main eye bolt and bushings for shackles. And I didn't even think of bump stops. Both of mine are missing in the rear I assume I will still need them with 8" shocks? Can't find too much info on the Standard's droop but I've read about people running them with the 8" Kings and not having a problem.

The front will be standard travel, so I guess that's good to go there.

 

Yeah you will definitely need bumps or you will bottom out those new shocks real fast.

It's always a bittersweet moment ordering truck parts. Bye bye monies, but yay truck parts!

 

For real. But this is one of those rare times where what I am getting is not just functional, but fun! Most of the parts I order are replacement parts for necessary worn out parts on their way out. Swap and back to normal. Not much fun to be had there. Been a while since I've had a fun part like suspension parts.

 

Hahahha I'm in functional replacement mode now. I know that feel. It is easier to justify an upgrade at least!

 

Definitely is. It's hardly a matter of whether or not to get it but rather which brand to get.

yea the diff is gonna be painted, the frame is new from the recall but never coated so just some precautionary measures, gonna paint the diff too. essentially everything in that picture and the whole lower half of the motor was completely covered in oil and grease so its lightyears better than it was. My brother has been doing a pretty good job with it
