Help me understand why you think he needs UCAs? Shouldn't need them unless he gets into a lift of 2"+ to get his caster dialed back in. A mild lift up front to level the truck would not really benefit from UCAs based on what I've seen and read. In fact I've been advised that added caster of aftermarket UCAs could actually cause problems with alignment if you are not lifting the truck past a certain point because that added caster will not be necessary.

We're talking ~$500 plus more labor to install an aftermarket component that really does not solve any issues associated with a mild lift or just leveling the front.

Somebody else chime in and inform me if I'm off base here? @GPsevinSixx

I've found that even a leveling kit can cause alignment issues in these trucks. I've had an 03, 07,11,15 and now a 17. On my 17 I finally bit the bullet and put some light racing upper control arms on and my alignment is dead nuts perfect.

I added 1.5" of lift and the only limiting factor on getting the alignment back into spec was a combination of laziness and incompetence at Firestone--This meant it took multiple trips to get it right. It wasn't a matter of the lift causing the issue, just a matter of the alignment being done correctly the first time and my follow-up.

What tires are you running? What's the road noise like? What effect on gas mileage has your lift/tire combo had (just for knowledge purposes)? Did you get new UCAs?

Dick Cepek Extreme Country 265/75/16 and yes I got new UCA's. The noise is very minimal. You can hear the tires if you don't have music on and the windows down. But it's not loud enough to be obnoxious. According to the computer I'm averaging 18.6 MPG's. Most of my driving youth is in the city. My MPG before the lift was the high 19's. But I'm coming from a FBO 335i. So I haven't adapted my driving fully. I'm sure I can get better gas mileage. But on another note, I'm getting the same MPG's on this truck as the BMW.

I choose to get the new UCA's for peice of mind. The lift gave me a little over 3". They were able to get my alignment done perfectly. And had no problems. Just my 2 cents though. I'm no expert

How did you get a 3" lift out of 6112s?

no idea. Set to the top setting gave me roughly 4 inches for the first few weeks. Then it settled down to around 3 + inches. But I'd factor some tire height into it. But I measured from ground and not center of hub.

OK yeah you want to measure hub center to bottom of fender (if you care...and at this point you obviously don't which is fine)

I got mine pretty level with OME 888 and an AAL in the rear. It measures 23" hub to bottom of fender all around. It I'm sure some people will still put this on the "bro-lean" category.

I believe this is set to top setting? 2nd or 3rd ten 6112? and last but def not least how does the ride compare to stock? I am interested in these but worried of a rough ride and coil bind with all that pre load.

Rides great, I’ve taken it off-road several times and have had 0 issues. Huge improvement over stock. 3rd gen and street driving is fantastic in comparison to stock.
