I really miss being hourly. Especially that Sunday/holiday double time.

May as well put Elway back out there.

Anyway, is there a used electronics place in Denver by chance? I'm trying to find an ac adapter for a Samsung monitor. My dog thought that it was a noodle and chewed it into bits. I'm having a hard time finding it online (except for ebay; I've had issues with that site in the past and largely stay away from it). It's an A2514_FPN (25 watt) if anyone has one lying around.

I know you don't like eBay, but it's gold for stuff like that.

Yeah, that's true and I may not have a choice (although it appears as though my specific model may be sold out). Just seems nuts that I may have to buy a new monitor. I should remember this from my electrician days...can I use an adapter that has higher wattage? The output is 14V/1.79A.

Man ebay is killer. Especially for stuff like that. What issues were you having? I've never had an issue using ebay for the past 7 years or so.

If the output matches you should be fine. I looked on Amazon and there's a single entry for $25 (with shipping) and the results on Ebay aren't much cheaper if at all. The university up here has a surplus store that has a box of adapters like that to pick through, not that it does you much good. A local used computer store might as well. If I were down there the first place I'd probably check to see if you could find a replacement would be Micro Center. Could also try calling Samsung and seeing if they sell/warranty parts like that.

Is the plug still good? Then all you need to find is a match and use your ninja skills to replace plug
