Hey Floyd, like most trips lately, I want to be there, but really won't know till the last minute. Living my own personal hell at the moment, overloaded all around. I'd like to at least be there for Saturday, hoping to extend into some light stuff Sunday.

What would be the better idea? Either site 104 or site 121
    Or doesn't it matter

All kinds of compressors. Pick one that will suit your needs AND your budget.

This is a good one. I had a similar one many moons ago. I liked it.

This is a very good one.

    No to this^^^

    Because of this VVV

Good speed VVV. Similar speed to an ARB single.

I did a timing test awhile back. The ARB twin (w/o air tank) takes 63 seconds to inflate my 255/85R16 Cooper ST-Maxx's from 18 PSI to 38 PSI. The ARB single will take twice as long.

I haven't timed it, but the ARB Twin with a 3.5 gallon air tank will probably be sub-55 seconds per tire.

Edit/Add: @diabetik81 might have an ARB single for sale. He upgraded recently to a twin. He's an impatient fcker.

I plan on picking up a 15lb CO2 tank soon-ish and hope to get air up times to ~25 seconds per tire.

So I have my handheld CB radio with case, tow strap, 88p air compressor, 30 qt cooler, and fire extinguisher. Any other crap I need for trails and beach driving?

An air down tool is super handy, and saves a lot of time if you plan on wheeling regularly.

    Two things.
    1. The bed outlet can run a small compressor. It ran my Senco baby compressor. Just took forever to air up my 295s.
    2. The air tank will only help with the first tire. And only marginally. Within seconds of hooking up my air line to the tire, the compressor begins running and continues to run until it builds up pressure after the last tire is full.

I walk slowly to the next tire. LOL.

Usually I'm shooting the shit between tires...

    ... with you.

Which gives the compressor plenty of time to refill the air tank.

Which is also why I gave a per tire time vs. a total of 4 tires. :)

Naw. I have a VERY limited patch collection of 4. Just thought that a U.S. Flag patch would be the most important.

    Just for shits and giggles...
You have a formula for figuring the volume of a tire assuming the section width is accurate? The best I could do is guess because the far the out from the rim, the circumference increases.

Maybe figure the volume of the column based on section width and overall diameter and deduct the rim section?

Hopefully you have a decent kinetic Recovery Strap/Snatch Strap with sewn loops on both ends. NOT the tow strap with metal hooks on both ends.
This is what I have. There are many other brands.

Also very important is how/where you attach to your truck front and rear. Do you have the recovery points? You'll need those.

I second this strap. Used it a few times for recovery in soft sand/mud and it worked like a charm.

That's alright in the right applications. Those aren't designed to stretch at all, whereas the ones mentioned before are like a giant rubberband. It lets the front truck get a running start, and then slingshot the stuck truck free.
