I will include instructions in box, including torque specs. It's pretty simple. The most exotic tool would be a small 3-leg puller if the tulip doesn't want to slide off, but you can use O'Reilley's for free if you don't own one. A proper pair of circlip pliers will help too. I highly recommend using a torque wrench. Otherwise, wrenches, sockets and a plastic dead blow. It should take 3 hours.

If I can find someone local to me, and willing, I'd like to make an installation video. Any takers on Oahu? @Waited many moons

I saw no MPG increase from converting to manual hubs, but the other advantages still make it worthwhile.

I'm seeing nearly same MPG as when I was a PreRunner, so I know it's worth some MPG.

Does this mean if I get put on the list, it's $1100?

I'm very interested in this conversion as part of an old school setup. I'm envisioning the manual hubs paired up with a manual shift FJ transfer case. It would be just like the old '91 Pickup I used to have. It's a little less convenient but when you pull that lever you know for sure the truck's in 4wd. A few times past the OEM shifter servo thing left me wanting a more concrete engagement method.

In the stock system the differential is the disconnect point to the t-case. But on a manual hub truck the disconnect is at the wheel so the diff can be constantly engaged. If such a setup were to be installed how would the ADD on the front differential be mitigated. I guess that could be accomplished with the OEM electronics?

I converted my PreRunner to 4x4, and used a FJ transfer case. I deleted the ADD. Check out my build, the link is in my signature. To delete the ADD, I welded the sleeve (which the ADD actuator moves back and forth, thus engaging/disengaging) to the hub. Removing the front diff carrier will be the hardest part for you, otherwise it’s simple and a nearly free mod. You could sell off the actuator here, if it’s in good condition.

You could also source an intermediate shaft from a manual transmission FJ Cruiser. Being full-time 4WD, they did not have an ADD front diff.

    WOW !
Lets see front cv axles not turning , spider gears not turning , ( stock tacoma turns spider gear ) can eliminate the front ADD , no vibration issues when doing a lift kit , gotta be getting a little better mileage 1 mile per gallon ??? thats 10 miles for every 100 miles driven , can use 4lo in 2wheel drive , steering ???? and the cool factor ,
    I"m a old guy , I like old school my 2 cents

Yes, the 2nd Gen Tacoma, 4th Gen 4Runner and FJ Cruiser share a lot of parts.
