The acetone didn’t change the finish on the rest of the cap?

I used acetone on mine. The logo comes off fast, like 10 seconds. I didn’t rub hard as I realized this, perfect black finish now.

So I did the first three with just a tiny bit of acetone on my gunmetal. The 8 came off perfect and they looked great. For some reason the fourth one just didn't want to come off and I used a touch bit more and it rubbed off some of the gunmetal. I ordered three more from Discount Tire and when they arrived I rubbed the acetone on the first one and boom! It worked. They look great.

Purchased these today at my local DT in gunmetal 17x8 0 offset. Can't wait to have them paired up with my 265/70/17 Wildpeak AT3 new tires! Thanks @Discount Tire Direct

Looking forward to seeing the new combo bolted up!

The 16-inch MK6 is offered in two offsets, 0mm and -10mm, both of which are lower in offset compared to the O.E. wheels which means the MK6 wheels will sit further out towards the fender when compared to where the factory wheels sit now.

Which offset did you go with? We'd be happy to tell how much further out the wheels sit when compared to where your factory wheels sit now.

I agree the MK6 is a sharp wheel!

As far as stance goes... the front lip of the 16x8 ET0 MK6 is going to sit just under 1.75-inches further out towards the fender when compared to where the front lip of your factory wheels sits now. That being said, you should be in good shape with the fitment, and your local store will do a test fitment to verify, but keep in mind that you may have to trim the fenders around the mud flaps.

so being lowered will it increase the chance much more, and do they trim?

The combination of lower offset and dropped suspension does increase the chances of rubbing. The Discount Tire stores do not perform fender modifications, but in this instance, if there is rubbing it will not be severe and should be something you can address yourself.

How would you recommend for me to address it? I do not want to mess anything up if possible

Had these wheels and tires put on last night. No noticeable rubbing at this point. Love the wheel and tire pairing so far! Thanks @Discount Tire Direct

Picked up my set a few days ago. Got the 16x8 with 0 offset. They look great. Going to wait for your Black Friday sale to pick up a set of tires. Sould look pretty sharp with a set of 265/75 r16 wildpeaks.
