Well I couldnt sit back and do nothing plus I liked the look of it.

Im jobless so I didnt feel like paying for the grillcraft so i just went to the local metal shop and bought some expanded metal.

In total the build came out to $40

Then cleaned it up and painted it flat black

    So here it is finished

Pardon the chrome as I am still lookin for a place that will color match it for a reasonable price.

Then I thought it looked a little blank and empty so I put my 'toyota' badge that I had left over from the tail gate.

i painted it red so it could stand out.

I like the end result but I cant wait to get it color matched.

Let me know what ya guys think.

P.S. I used the method that Klipp11 has on one of his write ups which is faster and easier....well it was for me.

Thanks for all of the compliments guys, it makes me feel better about my work.

As for the color matching, I am currently looking for a shop that will do it for a reasonable price because I hate the chrome, always have.

And to address the horns lol....YES I am going to move them but I couldnt find a 'how to' on moving them.

but thanks to Oswego for the quick rundown on moving them.

Also thanks to Murdered Out Taco for offering to help, I will pm you if I need more clarification.

:DAgain thanks for the comps guys!:D

good work. i like that mesh better than most of the others i've seen actually. and the toyota badge. and unless you're a TW/satoshi conoisseur, you would never know the difference about the horns (me included). Looks good!

    THANKS:D

    Thanks:D
Its fairly easy (although i didnt have a clue on what I was doing at first)

as for mounting the mesh/metal to the grille its pretty easy and there are some write ups on here that show you how. If you cant find them just pm me and Ill send you some pics and explain.

I didnt feel the need to do a write up as there are plenty of them already.

oh yeah true i forgot there were some.

But for the color matching, there are some websites where you can buy a spray can of paint...im not sure if you want to go through the trouble of doing it yourself though
