I was 1H way back when.
There was no way I was going in anyway thinking back on it because I have asthma.
I wanted to fly Heli's and a recruiter let slip I couldn't because I wear glasses.
And I was told back then by many high school friends you went where they sent ya and not what you wanted to to.
    So ......
Weather it was true or not.
    It never happened.

    Morning all.

Swapping Saturday's with someone so I'll have 3 weekends off in a row after next week.
So I'll have a few more chances to go out and find some Dee Dee's.
Funny thing he asked me after I asked him a few times to swap with me and he said no.
I just have the jeep to finish up for winter so it's going to be a 12 day work run as we'll have the FF GANG Sunday. Rotate and balance tires, check fluids, scrape and sand bare spots, rust prep, top coat, and FF on the ajenda.

    And the ball keeps rolling.........

Depends .......;) Ok seriously it really does depend on where your talking about city streets , country road , out in the willy wags . City streets 6 inches max slowly, country roads depending on the part of the country here, if you are in TX country roads are famous for washing out the sides or completely where there is nothing under the tar but the water only shows an inch or two deep.in the willy wags a few inches 2 -4 maybe but only after checking for deep holes and such. As @Tacoma Mike can attest to and many others getting our trucks in deep water is a very costly mistake. And all of the above is only if I have to not just for fun ;)

    Ditto

I've went a little deeper. After a night of torrential rain, driving home, water was over the road in places I hadn't seen before or since.

Would the 4Runner and Tacoma be rated the same for fording depth?
I read somewhere in The 4Runner specs it was 26".

You shouldn't go deeper than your rear axle because of the wonky rear axle vent.
That being said, I'm lifted 2" and I had water 4" up the doors a couple weeks ago in the Mohave Road water crossing.

    I don't know buddy.
I never looked at those types of specs cause I don't do it.
Can you do it. Sure however, the cost of having fun runs in the 10's of thousands if you make a mistake.

I did a diff breather mod only because I launch a boat.
But seeing what these guys do IMO is downright stupid.
Especially when they try to claim it on insurance or someone else..
