It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
you talkin bout these that cost $90 and ride the same as icons?

true. if we were desert racing i could see how compression adjusters would be useful. no rebound? fine. larger oil volume? good. show me when a tacoma shock has failed due to heat. not saying it hasnt happened, i just want to see it.

the only thing i ever got out of reservoirs was oil leaks and a pain in the ass and wallet

    just my personal experience

Well I think thats slightly oversimplified but while it may not completely fail, the shock will inevitably wear it' components faster as well as the fluid "wearing" much quicker and the shock will lose its effectiveness sooner. Also the rr shocks can be rebuilt.

its actually not icons fault. i had southern offroad put on my leafs and shocks. the retards didnt read the directions that had a warning on the first page that said "you have to create clearance" because the stems on the hose contacts the shock mounts.

icon actually redacted their instructions and corrected them when they found out about the issue.

i called and talked to a girl at icon and told her my instructions didnt have the correction and she wasnt having any of it lol. she wanted proof which i couldnt provide because the guys at southern offroad in alabaster threw them out as soon as they saw them.

truth be told, i dont know which directions i had. but you have to try. the front shock leaked completely due to me being a dumbass. i put them on with factory whhels and completely forgot to check clearance. i got to the bottom of my driveway and heard a noise lol. i pulled back in the garage and it was leaking oil from one of the nuts where the tire pushed the hose over.

so in reality i cant fault icon at all. ive had 3/4 leaky shocks but they were all user error.

now if you want to talk about internal design im all ears. i also think the size of a company is a factor. because for example icon quit doing rebuilds right when i needed one. i sent it to a guy in tx and he did the best with quick turnaround, but i dont need my shock co going out of business while im still using them. but i dont know enough about that subject to comment.

i just felt like i needed to set the record straight with icon

tl:dr i will ramble if i want to

lol I'm just picking, I just remember reading some big thread about and the Icon reps on here were commenting on it (poorly iirc) and it was just humorous.

everybody always gives their argument as to what's "necessary" or what they think is best, I say just buy what you want lol. everyone has different experiences and reasons.

we got our tv at target on black Friday a few years ago. they had like 20 55" TV's for like $260 and then they had some 50" for like $240; they passed out tickets to the people in line for the 55" and a few people ahead of us got the last one, so we got the 50" but I haven't been disappointed. I would think next week all the black Friday sales should start getting plugged around

I think ours in an element, its not a smart tv, but I bought a Roku online for $40 or so and basically turned it into a smart tv, it is LED (it was a year or two before 4k started to catch on so its just 1080 but again, it doesn't bother me)

I don't need the latest and greatest either. I run everything off of my PS4 so it doesn't have to be smart, but most are smart now. Also, most are LED which I do want. If I get a deal on 4k I'll go 4k.
