I agree. The guys at ECGS are great and I'm very lucky to be local.

I'm gonna do it myself when I do the lift, my buddy has a mechanic, 4x4, diesel performance shop. I was going to offer to buy the tools from you if you were doing it yourself or give you a hand

I just got my needle bearing replaced with the ECGS .Vibration issue solved! Vibration was an issue after level kit install. I am near Vancouver, BC. The shop that I went to have work done is called Dales Auto and I highly recommend them. Trustworthy, reasonable rates know their stuff.

I’m not sure what oil the shop used. I would suggest checking with the dealer or reputable shop.

Has anyone had the vibration come back? I've had some bad luck with CV axles recently and have come to the conclusion that either something in my hub assembly went bad, cv axle went bad or I messed up the ECGS bushing somehow. I'm experiencing a very similar vibration to before the bushing install.

I only remember 1 person that I saw that had the bushing go bad. I think he had an extreme situation tho, i think he has long travel Suspension with extreme angles and i also think he was doing somehing like desert racing.

I modified the ecgs bushing tool. I was worried about it falling into the diff. I drilled a small hole near the center and tightly wrapped bailing wire around it. It made it very easy to maneuver the piece. Just make sure the wire stays to the side so you get a flat contact on the needle bearing.

I was just thinking about doing the same thing, but using safety wire that I did my big brake kit with

Question about the symptoms on this noise. I don't feel this in the drivers side as much as the passenger side. The passenger in my truck can really feel it and I can feel it but no where near as much. It is definitely intermittent. I really hear it on the road that was recently paved by my house. Once I get off that road I can barely hear it and most roads I don't hear it at all. My dad thinks it is just the road, but I had these wheels and tires on my 2006 with no problems.

I have not tried it in 4WD yet because it hasn't snowed here yet. Maybe I will try in the rain in the next couple of days. It honestly sounds like a wheel bearing but I know it is definitely not that.

As long as you are driving straight, you will be fine to shift into 4WD on a dry road.

Try 4wd as mentioned above. In my truck the noise/vibration went away as soon as I put it in 4wd. Tell tale sign of needle bearing issue in my case.

Goes away in 4wd. Time to order the bushing!

Anyone selling the installer and removal tools? They seem way over priced.

So if the steering wheel has a slight vibrate around 20 mph and that is the only time it vibrates, would the this bushing fix that? Or is it something else causing this? Happened after I lifted the truck

The sound was a low droning which sounded like Vrrrr Vrrrr Vrrr. I felt pulsating vibration in gas pedal, floor boards and steering wheel. The needle bearing changeout in my humble opinion, well worth the money. Steering feels tighter and the shop says the stock bearing is a weak link in these trucks(I trust the shop)

Exactly what I have currently. Have a trip to Cincinnati next week so I just ordered the removal and the bushing with two day shipping. Off work Thursday so shouldn't have an issue.
