I still move the pallets of coal my parents get delivered a few times a year from the back of the house to a spot in the garage. That shit gets old quick

 

Ha, no kids for me. Never ever.

 

I only buy pellets a bag or two at a time now. We just don't burn enough of them for more.

Of course, I heat primarily with wood, so it's not like I'm slacking

 

Famous last words....next week it'll be so I did a thing and now I need a carseat... recommendations?

 

She got 2 tons too and she has a storage shed close by but the back panel is coming off and needs to be fixed. Guess who's job it is to fix it and put that away for her? Lol.

I'll do it this weekend for sure but at least for now she's got pellets to carry her over

They don't really discount them that much when you buy them by the pallet load. At least not like I would think they would

 

Coal's great heat, but I hate it. Used to shovel a couple of tons a year for my Gram, and even wearing a dust mask you were blowing black boogers into tissues for days afterwards. Same problem whenever we'd refill the bunker in the cellar for her. You'd shovel it from the bunker in the shed down into the bunker in the cellar and just doing that half ton or so would be enough to cover you in coal dust.

Yeah, I think locally it's something like 50 cents a bag less buying them by the ton.

 

Ugggg, I grew up with a coal furnace too Noel, I remember delivery day, it was horrific. The coal would go down a chute that was on the wrong side of the basement because that was where the truck could get to, then we'd have to move it to the coal bin. I absolutely hated that day.

I just took a few steps on my own!! Crutchless!

 

I have a brother who is about 10 years younger. I think that's a lot of what put me off of wanting my own kids. I'm dead-set against it.

Marriage I'm not completely opposed to, but it would have to be quite a ways into the future.

 

I have a scrap piece of drywall that I lay flat on the basement stairs. Have one person up top with the wheel barrow slinging them down the slide, and another down stairs stacking the bags.

 

Lots of heat, though. She always had that coal stove just blasting right along. You'd walk into her house in the dead of winter and it'd be a solid 80 degrees.

That's what I did when I stacked the 1-2 tons my grandmother used to order.

When I had a roommate in the last house, we would throw them down the stairs to eachother. Because somehow catching 40 lb bags of pellets hurtling 10 ft down is reasonable.

 

Good solution. Wouldn't have worked at the old house, though. The stairs made a 90 degree bend halfway down.

Remote start an option with original key fob on 3rd gens? Anyone have one they would recommend.
Do they make brackets to mount stuff via the bed rail system or has anyone made their own? Looking for option to store a fire extinguisher, ax etc. under my tonneau cover.
Whats this pop lock everyone was mentioning for the tailgate? I'm always looking for an excuse to spend $ on the taco.

The pop and lock is an actuator that you can install in the tailgate so it will lock and unlock by pressing the buttons on the fob versus needing a key. A pre-warning if you buy it through Amazon it technically loses its' 1 year warranty. I found that out after reading the paper in the box; which is kinda shitty that buying through there to save some extra money loses the protection.

 

The tailgates on the Toyota's don't lock and unlock with the fob?

 

Hi @micwillia , just wanted to clarify for you, the product still carries the 1 year warranty but it's through Amazon instead of direct through us at Pop & Lock. If something were to happen, simply contact Amazon directly and they will take care of it per the agreement with them. Hope that makes sense!
