    I stopped by where the wrecked Tacoma is at on my way home. The "owner wasn't home. The truck is tarped, so no picture. The owners father was there. His son borrowed money from dad to buy the truck. "Dad" want's it sold and out of the yard. He is going to call me in a couple days with a price. They staryed the truck and moved it into the back yard from the driveway. So it runs. Also would indicate driveshaft intact. He talked like they thought the entire truck was only worth $1500 to $2000. Bed is intact. (Cab smashed). I'll stay after it until I get some sort of price. Son was trying to get $5k to 6k for all of it. Apparently he got laughed at by several of us. Dad seems more realistic

    I'm going back tomorrow to put in a counter offer.

    Engine, tranny, t-case, drive shafts, both diffs, bed is good but no tail gate, frame doesn't appear damaged. I think I could part it out, less the engine, and get almost all of it back.

    Water down the intake before the flop, think I bent a connecting rod, timing out, piston slapping head/valves. Oil pressure light is on, no power, noisy as all fuck like a diesel lol

    Goal is to possibly buy this truck/a truck, pull the engine and part out the rest of it to get some/most/all the money back.....end up with a cheap/free engine.

    I'm in it for all the metric bolts I can scavenge...:cool:
