No doubt! The truck will be going under the knife this winter, which will definitely keep the miles off of her, but it’ll be worth it. I’m gonna have a ton of questions for you big brains here soon...

By the way, I’m glad to hear that you’re keeping your rig a little while longer!

So anyone looking to purchase wheels and tires through Discount....here is the deal this Black Friday.

Here is some info I received:
    • Mounting and balancing is free- that is approximately $80.00 value
    • I'll add that if the upcoming Black Friday/Cyber Monday promotion is like last year's, you can expect to save $175.00 back by mail on this combination with an additional $120.00 back by mail if you purchase using Discount Tire credit.

That is $375.00 in savings if you have Discount Tire card! I am not sure if this discount will vary pending wheels and tires you are planning on buying.

Little column A, little column B, throw in some column C... I work from home most of the time now, but historically my commutes have been under ten miles round trip, or possibly so few days a week that they average out to that. And no, I don't get out as much as I used to. The last few years / decade, a third to half my annual mileage is typically the holiday trip back to the folks, the next biggest chunk is whatever trip I take that year (ie, Moab, Glacier, Zion, Silverton, and the past couple years not even that because there wasn't a trip or took only one vehicle that wasn't mine). The remaining 20% or so is just 'daily' driving.

Not a big deal, just a main leaf that is no longer continuous between the hanger and the shackle...

Determined it was unsafe to drive, got it towed home, and parked it for the winter. New, custom springs coming when I want to get around to it (March or April).

Umm... It's actually a pretty good idea to change your oil regularly Charlie. Maybe you should start imagining it.

What, I thought oil lasted forever?
I change it myself. I would go broke if I went to the dealership everytime.

Liberty has a 3 for $75 special. Really hard to beat that price. Plus the showroom has free soda and WiFi, so perfect to get some work done away from the office

Except when they use a 1000 ft lbs impact to put your oil pan drain plug back in.

True. But if they mess it up, I’m fairly confident Fred, the asst mgr will make it right

Unless they do what the dealership did on mine and permatex the whole thing. Only for me to find out the next time I did it myself after I moved.
