How do you get this deal. Do you have to fight them for it pretty good? They offered me $120 per year, per car. I haven't tried haggling yet.

My wife keeps buying me more subscription as a gift at the discounted rate. I told them the last time I would take 3 years if they held the rate. They won’t so we play the discount rate then cancel time if they offer it again we continue.

I enjoy the First Wave channel 33 and switch between that and local radio or my iPad. 95% of the time it is on 33. I do like traveling with the NHL channel during playoffs when I would otherwise miss the game. Hard to follow hockey on radio but better than missing it completely.

My commute is under 10 minutes so if I lost satelight radio I would survive and I can’t justify full price. Once they stop offering me the discount I am done. If it was $5 a month I would have it for life.

Howard Stern fan.. Comes in real handy when off the grid and you want music. To lazy to put a big music playlist collection together, so I like being fed the latest music in the music genres I'm feeling at the moment. I'm paying for a year at a time $100 per year (8.99 month) and includes bonus internet streaming radio so can you can use on your phone or work pc. Windows 10 has a Sirius App I use about 90% of the time. There are always changing up stations as well so doesn't get old. I also pay for Spotify, but again, you have to mess with your phone, love it on my steering wheel controls anytime I'm driving.. This might change if they add the Spotify app to tuner apps. Current sirius users, check out new "The Verge"

I've kept it but only at the discounted rate. The full rate of $15/month is way too expensive in my opinion, but for $6/month I listen to it enough to keep it. If they refuse to honor that price in the future I'll end my subscription then.

I have had multiple vehicles that came with Sirius XM and I never listened to it in any of them.

My current vehicle came with a year subscription and I pulled the factory radio almost immediately. I could load the app on my cell and listen to it over bluetooth until my year runs out, but I don't care for any of their stations.

I use iPod and internet radio through bluetooth from my phone (internet radio does not use much data and I have 20GB per month)

With Pandora, Google Music, Amazon Music, iHeart Radio, and countless other free internet radio programs (Radio Tunes is great too), I won't be paying for XM unless I begin frequently driving in an area with poor cell reception.

Sirius is the absolute WORST company to deal with as far as getting them to stop bugging you about renewing.

I have their number blocked on my phone but I still get mail and emails.

I have explained to them multiple times that since I didn't listen to it when it was free, why would I pay $5 a month to still not listen to it?

Different strokes for different folks, but it has Zero value for me.

Everytime I get a new vehicle, I try liking it......but I just can’t get past the horrendous sound quality of SiriusXM. I know it has improved over the years, but it’s still pretty terrible in my opinion. The audio is so compressed, I feel like I’m listening to “RealPlayer” audio on a circa 1995 Windows PC. No way I’m paying anything for that.

I stream primarily. We have a family subscription to Apple Music service and it works well for us.

I've never paid full price. I just say I'm walking at full price and get it for 1/2.

Did the trial and realized it’s always the same crap. I’m a fan of comedy talk shows while I’m driving. Right now I’m commuting about 180 miles a day round trip and my go to has been podcasts. For music I use Spotify. Xm just isn’t worth it to me

threaten to cancel until they transfer you to a "sales specialist", then continue to cancel until they make it so sweet you want it.

Definitely a luxury price wise but it’s nice to get in the car and go rather than having to get phone connected, turn on Spotify, Pandora, etc. and try to change while driving. Won’t do if I didn’t keep getting discounted price.

Had it and like it but got rid of it cause I hardly spend any time in my truck.

Relocated and picked up a lot of windshield time and considering going back

It's worth it if you play the cancel every 6 months game and keep the $30 for 6 months deal. It's not a big deal, i just set a calendar reminder.

I like It because I travel around enough that I lose radio stations between towns. Just more convenient to cycle through the same stations.

I have had it since XM first came out - on a PORTABLE unit, then had to switch to Sirius as the Tundra I bought had a portable Sirius unit in it. That went bad and I ended up buying an XM portable plug & play unit again. I have a dock in the truck, one in my garage, one in the living room, one outside at the cabin in Pa. and one inside the cabin. So, I use it a lot, not just driving. Yes, you hear the same songs over and over, but you would likely do that no matter what you listen too. I end up listening to one style for months on end (Jimmy Buffet now) but may get on a country kick or go back to rock-n-roll or new wave, so that is where I get my variety.

11/19/17........on a CLASSIC VINYL kick now!

$30 for 6 months is what I pay. They send me a reminder before renewal, I call and say that I’m going to cancel unless they give me the same promo and they always do.

You really can’t beat it in my opinion. Pandora and all those other streaming services are alright but they eat your data up over time.

The biggest win, in my opinion, is having reception in even the most remote areas. When I’m 30 miles down Padre Island National Seashore, where there’s no cell service, I still have reception.

Of course the biggest con is forgetting to call to renew and paying full price for a month or two but you can set up renewal reminders. It’s also kind of annoying to lose reception when you’re going under an overpass or inside a parking garage but that’s just a minor annoyance

I've had it off and on for about 15 years. Right now I'm about to cancel it again. I used to like listening to Stern, but he's on vacation too often and only works 3 days a week when not on vacation. He has gotten to be a broken record to me. Does a good interview that I appreciate about once a month. Their music stations are the same things available for free everywhere else. And while they say "No Ads", they have tons of ads except they call them other things like channel information or some such nonsense. Its an ad. Anyway, I just saw their charge of about $150 for 6 months hit my credit card so I'm calling in the morning and going through the hour long process of canceling.
