My old boss had a nickname for me.... "Found money" ..... Had to do with my ability to get contractors to do work cheap. REAL cheap.

My wife now calls me "Spent money".... For my ability to keep Fed Ex and UPS trucks rolling in and out of the driveway.

Ordered a Factor 55 winch thimble while ago. Will now have a screw pin shackle on the end of the winch cable!

Also ordered a black ABS plastic mesh grill (from someone other than the one's that tried to screw me 2 months ago)

Starting research on Bushwacker fender flairs (vs ebay flairs such as Geekhouse23 is sporting) may do either. Will eventually pick 1 of the 2.

If I can get a day off in the next few weeks kbefore it gets ridiculously cold) gonna do the 887 coil swap. Then decide on rear leaves

I'm ALMOST at the point in this build where I would have been 2 years ago....Then the doctor told me I had kidney cancer. Bills are caught up now and I'm back on the trail again.

This is Toyota #5. First 4 got 35"'s. This one will too....someday.....soon. Chances are this will be my last serious build. It's going to be amongst the best efforts if I have anything to do with it. (and I do)

Still have windows to tint. Lights (f & r) to install. Front locker. (W/on board air) Wheels to swap. Gas tank skid. 887s to swap in. AllPro Expos. Kings. Fender flairs. Roof rack.

It never ends...

Besides...I've got very attached to the Fed Ex driver! (She's hawt!)

OK....Swap coils (and get alignment), install light bar, install grill, and install winch cable thimble. Should keep me busy for a few days.

Trying my best to remain calm. Trying not to get my hopes up too much. But....:

Club Prez called this morning @ 7AM. He asked what time Asshat gets here and what time he could get in business office. Also asked what time our receptionist gets here. Then he instructed me to have 2 or 3 pieces of our stationary (with official letterhead) handy before Asshat would be here. Then he said it would probably be best to have someone NOT on the staff "type an important letter". A few minutes later, the club's attorney's Paralegal shows up to get the letterhead. Asshat shows up about an hour later, carrying 3 empty boxes. He went into his office and locked the door behind him.

Word is, Asshat will be terminated today or tomorrow, then escorted off the property and not allowed back in.

I have 2 cases of champagne and a 2 liter of my favorite bourbon on will call at a vendor we buy from. We're about to have a party!

Also, I've told everyone about my employee who passed away back in March. Also, about my deal with cancer. We found out a couple weeks ago that our previous manager (who we adored) has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. This morning I get word that a long time employee who Asshat didn't like, and made me lay him off, is in the hospital with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

There has been a black cloud hanging over us since Asshat got here. I'm hoping the sun is about to pop out from behind the cloud....

 

Can't be more happy for your work situation Bill, sounds like everything is turning around for you and your fellow employees.

 

Asshat was just escorted from the property.

He was fired and told to leave immediately. Not allowed back on the property.

I am excited to go back to work again
