Chandler's Battleship of Doom

Nothing big to update besides my wife doing product testing of the pelfreybilt front bumper on the rear of a equinox a couple weeks ago, everyone was alright and the tacoma faired well. Ive been working on some more stuff for the tacoma, I got the canopy interior being built so that will be nice to have so it wont be so empty and start actually using it for what its meant for.

The ram got some love from the discount tire sale along with some methods that were on sale, never been a fan of fake beadlocks but I'm happy with how the truck looks for what it is.

 

Dang glad everyone is alright from the accident. Excited to see what the tacoma becomes.

 

Heres what the driver side will look like. I spent a bunch of time looking a different interiors and really liked one that used the shelves like so, I plan to use small boxes to keep everything organized on the shelves instead of drawers that would only make the contents hard to reach

 

Thanks, yeah she was pretty bummed about the whole situation but accidents happen. Yeah I'm excited to keep moving forward and get it built out how its meant to be. Ideally Ill keep every last bit of "wheeling/camping" shit in the canopy in its place and keep the canopy in the storage unit until I go on a trip and its needed. Sort of like a trailer

 

Sounds like a sweet setup. I'm ready to have space one day to leave my setup behind but with no garage to fit my truck in I'm pretty well stuck just leaving the setup together all the time

 

So keeping the taco now?

 

Yeah I think I am a couple inches too tall for my storage unit right now so I will have to put the stock tires on just to get it in and out lol

Yeah for the time being, everyone who was interested wanted the truck without the wrap but I wasn't going to unwrap the truck and take a chance of someone bailing. So for now its staying until I clean up the truck a little so less for people to complain about

 

So any parts back up for grabs? Asking for a friend...

Nope, only thing left that I was going to sell is the topper rack and my topper. The rack is pretty much sold I just need to find time to actually get it off and packaged up

Yeah I’ve seen a handful that had similar breaks, but looks like i lucked out by catching it early and not damaging the shock tower

Send icon photos of the break along with photos of your preload (this is what they asked me to provide) and they should send you a free replacement. They overnighted me a replacement top hat and bolt free of charge cause this "should never happen". I told them that I've heard of many people that have seen this issue they said that that was weird cause they had only rarely seen it....

Might want to inspect the other side as well
