Finally got around to installing it this weekend. Looks awesome. Thanks RCBS204!!! I went with the red/white. The red lettering blends in well with the hazard light switch right next to it.

    Update:

Took it apart, padded it w/ solder, still no worky. Since there are 2 bulbs back there I switched the placement of the bulbs and the problem follows the bulb.

Looks like a bad bulb (although it seems okay upon visible inspection). On to find a new bulb - probably gonna replace both bulbs while I'm at it.

Just wanted to to say a few words about the customer support that RCBS204 offers with his product. I bought this a few weeks ago, and had alot of problems with it due to shipping damage. RCBS204 and I tried to do a fix for it, but no go. So he is going to make it right. He really stands behind it. Great product! Really like this forum BTW, keep up the good work.

Purchased one and installed it last weekend. Looks awesome, but it is not quite as bright as the rest of the dash lights. Could it have been permanently damaged, because all the LEDs were bent when I got it, and I had to bend them back to get them to stand up straight?

Have you thought about selling them to dealerships? As an add-on option for customers? Even if they swapped out a factory lighted switch they'd have to re-wire it. A dealership that sells lifted trucks or with other customizations might be interested... :notsure:

Wow, what if you just put a link to this thread? It might stay up a while before they delete it.

I never thanked you so thank you very much!
My install was easy even for someone who doesn't know what they are doing lol.
Your switch made the part how it should have been in the first place.

RCBS....you should change your title on ebay. I had done a saved search on eBay for the last few months. I wanted it to ping me an email when it came across a 4 x 4 switch for a toyota.....preferrably a 4-runner to do the mods to it for my Tacoma. Anyways, you'll get more action on eBay if you change your listing to say something like:

    "Toyota Tacoma Illuminated 4 X 4 Switch"

I know you have the key words "Tacoma" and what-not in the 2nd subline of your auction, but ebay's search engine only looks for words in the main subject line, as far as I know. All I'm saying is that when I search "Tacoma 4 x 4 switch", your auction doesn't appear as it should.

And yes, I will take a deeply discounted switch from you as payment for increasing your online sales ten-fold.

Ebay won't let you change the title unless you stop the listing and re-list, real pain in the A!@.. Anyway when i get the next 200 going i may change the listing anyway!!
    Thanks

That's up to you I guess. You've already done all the hard work on the listing with a description and pics, so the hard part is over. Granted you will have to end it (the auction) to change the title of the auction, but since you already have it typed up, all you have to do is go to your account, find the auction under "sold" and click relist. The whole thing should take you like 2 minutes...tops. Nice item though, I plan on getting one.
