pretty fun evening. I tried out a blind that my dad built for the first time. Was in there 10 min and a smaller buck showed up. Just watched him for a while. Then a few does were there and they came within 10 ft of me nibbling on the branches and none of them knew I was there.

Silverton is a nice area. I'm over in the Mcminnville area. Gotta love soggy Willamette Valley hunting haha

Well fellas, I missed a chip shot this weekend. 60yd shot on a mature doe and right over her back saw the dirt fly up behind her. I guess I rushed it. Checked for blood just to clear my mind. Saw plenty of other deer, just none worth shooting. Will be going back out next weekend.

Moultrie M80, had it 5 years. It worked fair, nothing to brag about.

Moultree makes good cams, I have had 3 out for 3 years straight. Buried in snow, ants made a nest in one. Sub zero temps. They all keep working and they take good pics.

I like those but they are getting outdated. But check if the batteries leaked and corroded the contacts on the battery box.

I had that trouble with the older cams with c batteries. I use lithium AA they last all year. You have to make sure the cam will work with them. I forget what model cams I have I will check when I back home fri.

I have 3 Moultrie camera’s M60,M550 And M40i they seem very reliable but sometimes I think the trigger speed is slow.I did leave the batteries in the M60 one off season and corroded the contacts so they have to be scratched up a lot to work.

Agree I have only moultrie now I have learned that paying a lot for a camera isn't worth it. I stick with the 60-70 dollar moultries now. Have a A20, a20i and m550. Triggers are a little slow. Have moultrie mobile on one, that is a neat setup.

New parka, pants, hat and gloves today. I thought I’d get through the season with minimal purchases but ended up with a new duck coat also. Seems to always work out that way.

I’ll stop by Walmart on the way home. I figured out the most expensive doesn’t = best bang for the buck! Do you remember how much it was? :pccoffee:
