Nothing exciting now, waiting on my SSO bumper to get here and hoping to pull the trigger on sliders during the Black Friday sales. I have 5100s, OME 887s, Spidertrax, and an engine skid from Expeditioneers/Man-A-Fre sitting in the garage waiting on the SSO to come in and do it all at once.

Yep, I got ya. I'm glad you are going and I hope more go as well. My Tacoma is really a hobby to me (overly expensive) and I really look forward to meeting others who are excited about these rigs. I'm slowly setting mine up with the goal of overlanding (I got a long way to go). First trip will be in May to the Overland West Expo in Flagstaff AZ. See all of you Saturday.:mudding:

I didn't make it pass the exam. Consider that I was valedictorian of my college class (albeit a very small class) and scored well enough on the ASVAB to pick any job I wanted in the Coast Guard. That test is tough. Granted I only took it once and didn't take the process very seriously. My interest in being a firefighter was only driven by a sporadic desire for a career change. Also greatly underestimated how competitive that career is. I think there were a couple thousand that took the test that day. And most have tried more that once. GL

When you have two dogs that are likely to go in the floor if you don’t get up when they’re ready, it makes getting out of bed much easier.

It can really vary as much as the group of people taking it. Some folks are strong cross fit types who can smoke the PT .. but not do well on the written. And some do well on written, but crap out on the PT. Then some have pretty shady pasts that eliminate them in the background checks etc. The whole process is really designed to find a very well rounded applicant.
