Are you still working at the same spot? If so, I'm not too far if you want to grab lunch someday. I'm down in the Seaport area these days.

Just do what I do; put the booze in a rocks glass over ice, and then add just enough soda for color

    :drunk:

Edit- Captain Black has a lot of sugar in it anyway, though. I'm usually more of a bourbon guy, unless it's a good aged rum like Bacardi 8 or Appleton. In which case adding soda is practically a sin

See that's dangerous. Thins out the mix enough that you can't taste the booze, but still hits like a battleaxe.

The bar I used to work at used to make a Big Mac Special. Pint glass with ice, whiskey almost to the top, coke for color. Used to do it to keep me from coming back every 10min to order another.

There may still be a bartender or two who will make me one.

5 to 8 a night depending on how strong they were. This was when I was in college and in the prime of my drinking. I can still put down, but not like that. Now I have 4 or 5 and I'm wobblin!

Half Irish, full Cajun, and 6'3 285lbs. I'm built to drink! Responsibly.

Yeah that was the problem. I'd make friends and they would try and keep up and it wouldn't end well! I don't want it to be a competition.

At peak drinking age I probably could have only handled 3 and still have been functional, but in my defense I'm 5'7 and was around 135lbs at that point

Yeah same here. $200+ bar tabs or well drinks are not uncommon. I don't mind buying my girlfriends drinks because they don't usually even make a dent in my tab.
