What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Need a little help from all you tire and wheel junkies. I want to swap out my alloys for steelies for the winter. My question is, "are stock 16" Tacoma steel wheels the same between 2 and 4wd models?"

Thanks. I was told that because the calipers were larger on the 4wd there might be an issue. If anyone else would like to comment I'd appreciate it. Just need a little more reassurance before dropping $300 beans on rims. Thanks Dave for the input. Can't see why they would be different but tires and wheels not in my wheelhouse. Completely ignorant on the subject.

i mean, they make 4x4 SRs, & those come with the steelies so should be good lol have seen a few here & there

 

I got this one from eBay. I think it was for a Camry. Came from China.

 

3M Auto Moulding Tape under mud guards to protect from paint etching. I did not remove the red film from tape when I installed them, Just to keep the paint a little cleaner from adhesive tape over time. It fit very well and should protect good. Just curious if anybody else has done this?

 

I came over to the Dark side....never thought I would....but after countless nights on TW....I got a 2” lift.

Looks really good with the two tone. I never liked the trucks I see around here stock, but once you start modding them, I think they look the best (probably why that color also sold out for the '17s).

I did the el-cheapo lift.......bought it last Friday on Amazon for $169.......today’s it’s $285.....go figure.....not sure why the big increase. Readylift kit.

Finally shes back to her former beauty with a little enhancement! Got her some KO2 and carbon fiber tailgate insert. Oh yea, added the C4 Fab lo pro bumper today and shes finished!

 

Ordered with my clazzios. From install bay. Had trim the empty bay to make the switch fit. It was my first time wiring anything on a truck, and not having instructions for wiring made took me a few tries.

Biggest stumbling point for me was that the engine has to be on in order to make the 13 volts needed to trigger the relay (wouldn't trip running off of battery)...took 4x to figure that one out.

Otherwise, super easy install with the clazzios. If you're not putting in seat covers, you'll need to pull the stock seats out to take the covers off (several how to videos on YouTube)
