Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Dont get my wrong I enjoy a daily dose of smart assery, which is part of the reason I love TW and its members lol. And yes I did just learn a new trick, I had no idea I could do that, thank you.

 

AT trucks came first. You guys have no problems and can get the tune whenever it becomes available again. MT tune is still in need of some work and Matt is waiting to be able to update all the MT guys to the same version of the ecu before officially releasing the final MT tune.

 

I have first half of batch in stock in 3 days. I will open up orders and have the holidays sale run nearly all month.

I will update the in stock status soon.
This is first HALF. To be as fair as I can, buying the kit reserves one for you. When they are gone they are gone.

These kits are pre-registered, and only need the final PCMFlash key as part of our normal process so setup time is fast.

Thanks. I' bouncing between 3.5 and 4.0 at the same time and I think this is the fairest way to get everyone what they want. I understand a lot of people can't jump on a purchase in a small time window ( like black Friday weekend), so since I have come prepared this time, haha! With extra kits ready, I'll leave the holiday orders open from now until end of cyber monday. So nearly the rest of the month.

 

@OVTune I've emailed a few times and used the contact us (order 2052), but haven't heard anything back.

I can see the dongle in device manager on windows 7, but PCM flash can't see it. Little help?

 

I'll be back at my PC eta 2 hours and will check it out. If we can't get it figured out I'll send you a fully registered replacement dongle

This is what I am considering. 3.5 Auto, get lots of time inside the transmission, and boost. We will see.

 

I just checked this thread at the perfect time! BOOM ordered. Are these pretty much plug n play or do they require a little work to install?

I wouldn’t quite say plug n play, but not difficult by any means. The most time consuming part is gettting everything set up before you load the tune. After that it takes all of 5 minutes the re-flash to whichever map you choose

I'm not the best with electronics but not a total dummy. Luckily my cousin is a wiring/ecu tech for a racecar shop so I'm sure he can help me if needed loll

 

I had no experience, had to buy a refurbished laptop off Amazon and forest gumped my way through it...

Oh and I love my truck again but still can't wait for OVT ( the man) too revisit and refine it even more...!!

 

I was originally going to buy the SSP + SB , but after reading more reviews I decided it was just a bandaid for the root of the problem and a lot of members rave about this tune.
