    Looks like it went through.

Usually that happens if the zip code does not match. And even when it does sometimes.

New to Tacoma world but I Just bought a Kit. Order #2143

My 2107 Tacoma is a daily driver right now so hopefully, this kit will help with the enjoyability of the truck. I have been loving the truck so far.

@OVTune I emailed you just now regarding an error on my shipping input (Damn you auto complete). I noticed it after I finalized my order. Can you change it to the same address as my billing address?

Wow, what a difference! Got the truck ECU updated to 04B03 at the Toyota dealer yesterday and now it drives great! No more terrible hunting for gears, noticeable reduction in throttle lag, etc. My frustration with driving the truck with the 04B01 software is completely gone (see this post). Seriously, if the truck drove like this to begin with, I would not have considered getting a 3rd party tune.

Speaking of which, I paid for the tune on 15 Sep and still haven't received a tuning file from Orange Virus. I sure hope the upgrade makes a difference over 04B03 to be worth it. At this point I honestly don't know what it could improve.

Unfortunately all that terrible stuff that went away with the update will return once the truck "learns" how to be bad again.

Welcome to the world of bi-polar 3rd gen ownership. There are similar comments from me scattered on threads when I got the update or initially replaced my crankshaft sensor where I felt I had found the holy grail and all my problems were over with. ...then reality sets back in and you realize it's temporary :(

Well, I bit the bullet and ordered it. Hopefully this will help me get to the point of actually loving this truck the way I want to. The only thing holding me back at this point is the eng/tranny driving experience. I still think it may take a re-gear to address the issues related to having a double overdrive, but I suppose I'll know the answer to that in the next month or so... :)

You won't be disappointed, it's the reason why I kept the truck instead of moving on.

I hope not. :) But this is why I'm trying to temper my expectations. Our 2016 Honda Odyssey has a 3.5 liter V6 that makes 250/250 hp/tq compared to the Tacoma's 3.5 liter V6 that makes 278/265 hp/tq...they weigh about the same...it just makes NO sense to me that a 4x4 p/u with offroad aspirations (not to mention load hauling or at least some towing) should have significantly taller highway gearing than a similarly powered/weighted soccer mom minivan. It boggles my mind. I have no one to blame with my disappointment other than myself because I should have researched this better before my purchase rather than going by my long-time positive experiences with Toyota trucks. If the tune can match the throttle responsiveness and more predictable power delivery of our Odyssey I'll be pretty happy...:)...but I know it can't fix the gearing issue. Hopefully the software improvement will be enough to mitigate some of the hardware issue...
