i have a 2017 TRD off road MT. I am really not very happy with the truck and am thinking about trading it in.

I can get a really good deal on a Titan Pro-4x. I have driven it several times and it seems like a really nice truck. What do you guys think?

I have also considered a Tundra and a 4Runner, but I love having the bed, would like more space than the Tacoma/4Runner, and want a rear locker.

I'd personally go F-150 or Tundra.

    Hahaha!

The Ford is surprisingly pricey for the features that you get. Ideally I would get and F-250 with a six foot bed, but I can't afford it.

Get the Ford. Rear locker, skids, 3.73 gear. That extended range tank is just awesome. Something like 700 mike range.

You’ve got to think through the Titan choice. Why do you think they’re priced so low relative to the competition?

From what I’ve heard about the Titan, reliability may be an issue.

If you're trading for a Titan Warrior yes but that's not a thing yet. While Nissan has made improvements expect to lose your ass on depreciation unless you plan on keeping it for 10 years. I've heard reliability issues as well. What's the "good deal" price?

Good deal is 36k, plus they will give me 32 for the Tacoma. I know the resale is not like a Toyota, but I do in fact plan on keeping my next truck for around 10 years. That is the reason I am looking at trading in the Tacoma, I am not going to hang on to it like I thought I would.

I have heard about some issues as well, but from what I can tell the vast majority of the major issues are with the Titan XD Diesel.

Research then join the Titan forums and ask the same question. See what results you get.

I'd personally go with the TUNDRA, that's worth a trade, TOYOTA and 5.7L Tried and true V8.. need I say more?

If....I were to trade on a full size, I’d likely look at low mileage used. There’s a ton out there that others have already taken the drive-off-the-lot $$ hit. Never considered it for the Taco because the used are damn near as expensive as the new.

I do like the engine in the Tundra, but I do not like the gas milage, lack of rear locker, or the seats. The seats feel like they are made out of plywood, I think they are designed for people much wider than me.

As someone who appraised cars for a living, be very careful with a Titan. They are lower priced for him good reason.

A 2012 - 2015 TRD rig would be the best choice if you do end up going that route.

I personally like the new Titan. I went to a Nissan dealer to check it a Pro 4x Frontier, and the salesman talked me into driving a Titan. I fell in love. Good power, good gas mileage, comfy and nice. Plus the best warranty on any new truck. Standard 5 year, 100k mile bumper to bumper warranty!

That is how I feel as well. Seems like a nice truck. I had an Xterra before the Tacoma and it was a great vehicle. I am just hoping that Nissan has kept it up as far as reliability goes.
