Noticed it for the first time around 10k.
Looked it up on here, and there was a thread that said it was normal, and even in the manual stated it was normal.
Thought maybe it was but a bad tank of gas, but it’s happened on tanks since then.
Annoying, but not too concerned about it. Will ask about it next time it’s in for a 5k.
Keep us posted if you get any different answers.

I only pulled 3 plugs that were reasonably accessible on the passengers side. Didn’t replace them, only wanted to get a read on the heat they were taking when I started thinking Pre Ignition. I notice the truck likes to act up when the temperatures are in the low 80s, so mornings and evenings. Whatever the timing retard is in that temp range must be causing problems. Next step is checking the pistons with a borescope. My mom actually works for Toyota that is responsible for Toyota’s in the South East States, so I’ve been trying to probe her for a field engineer, but I have to go about it politically. I really am getting tired of a $40k truck driving like a broke down lawnmower.

Do you have access to torque? I'll try and see if I can map it in real time what it happens. Might be awhile, as I switched to 89 octane. Seems to have gotten better.

I was running an tech stream, haven’t been able to really dive into the data. The problem is outside of timing and A/F, I’m not sure what the normal ranges for things like Knock Control.
