I have the 2.55 and NST overdrive kit. I think 14.9 is fine at idle as long as the engine runs smooth. Also there is not much stress on the engine at idle.

Yep, a new belt will be part of the swap even though I've only got about 15,000 miles on this one. Guys in the Phx area that are not in a real hurry, keep in touch where when I've got the new quickchange setup installed I can forward you the snout trimmer and pulley install tool and save us a little coin.

I'm going to try and get this aeroforce gauge setup to show boost in the next day or two so I have an idea of what pulley to order. Not going to the 2.5, trying to decide between the 2.7 or 2.6. Gotta have this thing last me another 200,000 miles...hopefully. Unless that Colorado diesel gets a good tuner in the next couple of years where it's able to get out of its own way...

Considering the bullshit it is to change the serpentine, take a look at that belt before u order the blower belts too.

WHOA WHOA hang on. Is the OVTune tuner available now?!

All of you upgrading to smaller sizes make sure you get you a 69.5" length belt when you change pulleys and make sure you get one that has a W rib profile like the Dayco polycog ones that way you further negate pulley slippage during boost. If you'd like you can always forward your pulleys to me prior to putting them on and I can do the RIP mod to them that way you know for sure they will not experience belt slippage.

Will be shortly.. ordering a DIY kit myself.

And I ran that belt... Still have it.. but destroyed my tensioner while running it, so back to the TRD one for now.. I need to get a custom tensioner made.

But this RIP mod... What's that? May order a 2.7 and send it your way then.. then install that and the tune.

That's weird. You must had gotten a defective tensioner or something.

RIP mod. Helps maintain a higher level of traction on an otherwise smooth rib pulley. It negates slippage on a tired or stretched out belt or if you are just having slippage issues in general. I run it on my 2.5 to make sure I get full boost available at all times.

My tensioner broke at about 20k miles. Went to swap the belt and as soon as I put the breaker bar in and gave it any force, that whole section of tensioner broke right off. Haven't replaced it, I just use the bottle jack between it and the frame to get the belt off if neede.

I am still on my first one.. 30K later. You have to be doing something wrong man. I'll sell you mine so I can get a 2.3 pulley.

You guys are seriously doing something wrong to be snapping tensioners every 10-20k miles.

I hope you guys got enough mods for it. That's some heavy duty boosting you will be doing to be at this level. Lol. And here I am wanting 12-13 psi.
