It may just be too much tension on the aluminum if you are running it on a 2.85. Custom may be the best way to go.

That is THE MOST important mod. Lol.

I Call dibs on your pulley, unless you think 2.5 is too small for whatever reason

SC w/urd pulley, afe cai, URD LT's, TRD cat back. 375hp. Custom logos, tonneau cover, westin bar with piaa lights, aero force gauges, custom front air dam, Westin step bars.
Ordered the pump, trout snimmer tool and pulley install tool. Will share those tools with others as needed. Still trying to decide 2.7 vs 2.6????? Want to order tonight!

I know the need of a new sc belt. Why would we need a new serpentine belt? Never mind, just suggesting to check it and change out while I'm at it. Heck, I got 125,000 out of the one on the last truck before I changed it out, so I'm thinking at under 60,000 miles my serpentine should be good for a bit...

Need more info on that one. You got some sort of connect for custom tensioners?

I reached out to American Racing Solutions a couple months ago.. they can do it, if I provide the needed info and parts. They will machine and build me one from solid aluminum. Could see about doing a group run maybe if others are interested .. because I know it will be expensive....

Mine seriously broke like a freak accident and the Toyota tech that installed it did something wrong. It's been fine ever since, I just have to use a bottle jack to pull the belt off because I'm too cheap to buy a new tensioner. At over 100k on my s/c setup and have done nothing but replace one idler pulley and the belt once. (And pulled that little boost regulator jet tonight) Had the 2.85 pulley for over 50k and plan on changing the oil/ rebuilding the snout in the spring

You don't need a new serpentine belt. You do need a new SC belt however when switching down to smaller sizes. The tensioner absorbing additional slack is a poor excuse for not running a new belt.

Well shit. Count me in for that. I don't want no issues from my tensioner.

I'll start following up with them then... Gather the needed info. If I need anything I'll post up and we can pool our resources.

The list of shit I don't need but want is growing rapidly thanks to you unhelpful bastards.

I love each and every one of you.

@12TRDTacoma, that's a mighty fine offer regarding your RIP mod. Much appreciated.

Since so many of us are targeting the 2.5" pulley, I'm wondering if we should get Ramon in here for a group buy...

Lol, crawl, walk, run my man. Crawl, walk, run.

That would be a job better handled by myself right now, seeing as I'm better suited for handling this group buy since I have already done business with them. They may be more inclined to offering a discount to us.

No offense to the awesome Ramonortiz man of course.
