Hard to blame him, he took less money to try and win basically like most people say they should. Who the hell would want to play for an owner who doesnt want to spend money? Or fans who cant fill the building

 

Thats an NHL issue right now, even Montreal and Vancouver who both have wayyy bigger markets are having a hard time filling their buildings.

 

I find it a bit if a stretch to reference those teams. I'd say Ottawa's arena situation is a lot like the Islanders. They have an arena too far from their fan base to get their full support. Also, being a government town, Ottawa has a lot less opportunities to sell box seats and season tickets.

The NHL only has problems with attendance in the south in non traditional hockey markets where theyhave to compete with other major sports for attention and customer spend. In other areas there may be attendance issues but usually it has to do with a poor building compounded with a marginal market fit like Ottawa.

Oilers have been bad too but I see them winning tonight at NYI.

 

Probably because people thing changing sports over and over again is the new way to attract people. Sounds stupid to me

That little spill Kopi had.. landed right on his bean....
and then Doughty on that coast to coast rush went full kill into the boards lol. I was surprised he popped up so quick.

Kings are firing on all cylinders at the moment. Nice to see production from the newer guys and Brown.
