What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

LOL - the vacuum lines always put a smile on my face. Well done sir!

 

That was after running the Bissel spot cleaner 6 times until we got sick of it LOL

 

That's amazing. I don't do patches, but I might have to do that one

 

Oh god.
Pretty soon I'll be replacing my headliner with felt just to stick patches to it


And before you know it I'll have a bunch of max tracks, wear nothing but khaki and be over landing every second of my life

Don't do it kids, not worth it


Also the best part is for me it'd be "keep calm and crawl on the ground to pull the actuator rr diff lock"

I don't know why I was so dumb, for years I'd jack the truck up on the high lift and put it in N to spin the wheels when i wanted to slide the rack and lock the diff...why I didn't just have someone put the truck in reverse and drive back 2 ft is beyond me. I did that in Moab this year.. Way easier

 

Bassman may be right... this is my first patch. I told myself just the one... but I've seen a couple that make me want to rethink it.

My rear brake shoes are done. Toyota dealer wants 04495-35230 $80

Is that a full kit? Is oem recommended?

Rock auto is $20 for shoes

You can't do patches anyways. Your headliner is vinyl so they won't sick unless you want to glue them on haha

 

I’ve only heard great things about Rock Auto. The brake shoes last forever too. There will be no sub for Toyota quality , but you’ll have to decide if the price is worth it. Most times I can’t fork over the extra $$.

He did however have the smarts to wear a helmet when we rode with @dakotasyota when he jumped his truck. I on the other hand was not smart enough to wear this and was responsible for holding down the sub next to me.

 

Should have gone for a jump with me instead. It would've been smoother.
