It was $150. I put a set of batteries in it just in case the solar panel didn’t work, but it’s ran on the solar power the whole time it’s been out. Has a 2 inch viewing screen with zoom, easy to set up.

doubtful unless he followed you to your hunting spot;) But you always wonder...It does happen though, couple years ago I was seeing a good "Pitchfork" as I called him on my camera...which he was a nice 8pt and a nice 10pt...both of which got killed that season. one by a neighbor by their house, and one by a neighbors son road huntingo_O. The pitch fork one was a good 2 miles from my game camera. The 10pt was maybe less than a mile away..

Hunted my cousin’s ranch in Texas last week. Deer movement was slow, saw a few spikes and a small 8. Smoked a pig for meat and snapped some pics of the does that were out and about and the future monsters!

Also pulled my cams down for the rifle season here in az. Got to see a couple of my boys without velvet for the first time this year, we’ll see at the end of the month who made it through the hunts. Archery season opens up dec 15, can’t wait to get after that non typical.

I guess I just totally missed a good 8+. Only saw one side of horns through the pines but it was enough to let me know he was a shooter. Had 1 window to pull the trigger and I totally fucked it up somehow. No blood, no hair, no nothin.

Saw 5 others walking the same trail he came in on. He was in some pines walking down the hill away from me. I grunted. He stopped. Then he kept walking. I grunted two more times and he turned and came back up the hill. And I fucked it up.

I take a hand gun with me, because I always have one on. I would like to shoot one if it gets 30 yards or so from me, but the only deer I have killed with a hand gun was point blank because I hit the spine with my rifle

I’d like to get into it. Bow hunting has ruined me a but because I see less sport in pecking off a deer at 300 yrds.
I think handgun would be fun because the animal would have to be in bow range (or less).

Plus... long guns are a pain to lug around haha

    I do... but they heavy.

I buy the lightest bows and guns I can find/afford.

I enjoy stalking a lot so the lighter weight the better.

That stinks...did you find the arrow? Its a good indicator of whether you missed or not. I know you know this...

I have one that I would use and have taken it to the bear bait stand. I havent had one come in when I was there yet...

Season goes through the first week of January. Too long in my opinion.

I’ve been scouting several places, and the only place I’m seeing with any buck sign is where I’m hunting currently. No sign of any pre rut activity anywhere else.

That’s be worst part...I completely whiffed on him...with a damn rifle.

It happens...Ive done it a couple times. I should have had an elk this year but my rifle scope was off and I was standing with nothing to support me, rushed the shot and clean missed :(

Ruts starting up I MD. Saw a nice 8 sneak up behind me at 30yrds in some briars, didn't have a shot before he figured something was off and walked back out the way he came. Big cold front coming in this weekend, temps in the 20s that should set the deer off. I have off Friday-Monday so I'll have 3 days of good hunting ahead hopefully.

our gun season opens next Saturday, and we have Michigan deer that go in rut usually the 1st or 2nd week of December, then again at the end of December (the does that don't get bred the first time around) and then the Alabama deer that are around here, typically are about a month behind the MI deer, our season use to end on jan 31st but a year or two ago they extended it to feb 10 since the last rut was still kicking into feb.

I’m off all next week. I saw the buck sign up here getting put down so I figured they’d be active soon. Bet y can’t guess where I’ll be!

If my dad doesn’t kill this one this weekend before I can make it back...

Just starting to gdt going where I hunt. 45 miles away and they're talking about peak activity. First mature buck I've seen on stand this season and he offered himself up.
