Any of you been to Costa Rica? I am heading there on our honeymoon in a couple of weeks.

Plans: Flying into San Jose and renting a car for the entire time. Week in La Fortuna/Arenal then heading to Manuel Antonio area for another week. planning to do hiking, zip lining, Canopy tours, hanging out on the beach.

Anything that you guys would recommend that I might be missing?

I did a weekend in San Jose on my way home back in April to detox after spending 10 days of straight intoxication in Bogota, Panama City, and Bocas del Toro. San Jose is just a giant city, not really a ton to do there IMO, unless you want to just bar hop. Which I also did

Definitely head to the coast as a result...

 

Don't forget to trade dollars for pesos lol other than that have fun & congratulations man

 

that too. they'll fuck ya on exchange rate, especially cab drivers if you don't lol

 

yeah, from the research I've done I don't plan to spend time in San Jose, just fly in and drive out and eventually back.

Definitively exchanging dollars for Colones down there, I've learned over the years from traveling to Mexico that if you're paying in Dollars, you will continually get ripped off...

 

bingo. there are a couple excursions you can do directly from San Jose for zip lining, bungee jumping, etc. they'll pick ya up at your hotel, but driving is probably easier.

if you do end up staying in San Jose, I stayed at Hotel Balmoral. I'd recommend it...

 

The 4runner is actually been allocated and should be here Dec/Jan timeframe. I'd have no problem buying 2 if my lady wanted one. Equa; parts give and take however. If she were a mooch, she'd be out the door in no time.
