Ooh thank you for this input of information. I might have to gather some parts to do this. Gonna just grab some new clamps this afternoon to get it back together for now since I've got a trip with the truck tomorrow.

Anyone hear from @DTFtacoma in the last few weeks - I'm wondering if he wants a test mule for a 4x4 1st gen to make his new kit with. Trying to decide if I should spend money on Black Friday sales or drive the truck up there for some lt fun.

So working on the taco today. Had some cam tab gussets from a friends FJ that he never installed. Well they don’t fit and I had to stop my LT install while Wheelers mails me some (and UCA gussets because fuck it).

Wasn’t ready to call it a day... so I started cutting things haha. Waiting for my glass from the ADV group buy but I’m gunna build the bottom part of my bumper and skids... got it all cleaned and ready to bend tubes!

Not running it on my truck but one of my pop's Rzr does. The CV boots actually have two grooves to run the safety wire through.

Only 33's unless you never go uphill with 35's. I'm planning on 4.56's with my 33's and just get a crawl box when it's time to get more gear for 35's since most places I go require 3 hours on the freeway to get to. Supercharger should keep freeway speeds decent even with 35's. Traffic just moves too fast out here for shorter gears imo, but 4.88's would be better for 35's - a lot of guys go up to 5.29's too.

I ran 4.56s with 33s then just switched to 35s, and the truck still has pep and gets me up and going on the freeway, but there was a noticeable change in acceleration/feel of the truck. Imho it drives great with the 35s and 4.56s.

Glad to hear that. My 33's won't last forever lol. I'm sure you're familiar with speeds that people travel on long stretches of desert highway out here so I think anything shorter than 4.56's would get a little annoying.

    he's a 2nd gen. totally different.

Would not recommend 4.56s with 35s by a lot shot. 4.88s minimum and 5.29s are way better.

hell, to me 4.88s are what you should get for 33s as well.

Boost will NOT help if you are under geared. Getting your gear ratio right is about effective use of the power you are outputing. Boost increases power but doesn't change how your truck uses the power. So you'll just get worse gas mileage and have to pay for premium.

    Thats for 1st gens.

2nd gens have a bigger motor and different transmission. 4.56 is totally fine for 33-35s. 4.88s if you want more torque.

Do any of you guys run into gas cap issues with fiberglass bedsides? A code keeps throwing up and everytime I check my gas cap is popped off. The guy who installed it just had the fuel neck zip tied and told me he can't weld a mount on because it might blow up on him.
